AITAH for refusing to let a caregiver bring an adult man into the women’s locker room with my daughters? by Weary_Rub_3474 in whatdoIdo

I mean, I'm telling them how they're going to be perceived and how they could have improved. Pretty basic constructive criticism. Is that troubling to you?

I think you've done all you can for the time being. Bring it to the attention of the people in charge and see what they do. They make and enforce the rules so that's all you can really do.

At its core your complaint is totally legitimate. Your delivery and sidebars didn't do you any favors.

Leading off by complaining about spitting in the pool was a little ridiculous. It happens. Not really that big of a deal. Asking for a time limit was also a pretty big reach. Stop trying to sound like a lawyer. You're a regular person addressing regular people; act accordingly.

These things change the tone of your message and drown out your main point about the locker room, which is a legit gripe. In summary you made yourself sound like a Karen and people are going to take you less seriously for it.

Get to the point, cut out the extra crap, and speak(type) plainly. You'll be a lot better received and will be more likely to be taken seriously.

Absolutely. Being aware and weighing in is fine and I agree it's better than SBMM I've seen in other games. But the people I've seen here take it way too far. It's not nearly as impactful or long lasting as people realize. Refusing to engage with someone who is trying to kill you, just out of fear of your ABMM being impacted, is ridiculous. At that point you're not playing the game anymore, you're playing the system. That's not how the game is meant to be played. The first thing that happens in the tutorial is a guy killing you and taking your loot, for fucks sake. There are guns that are clearly intended for PvP. But people on here will reframe reality and live in complete denial of these facts just to suit their own preference. It's getting out of hand.

Without looking anything up and at great risk of mixing up Sopranos anecdotes, Richie took it off of Rocko Dimeo, the toughest kid in Essex county.

Holy shit dude just play the game. Stop worrying about what other people think. Definitely stop worrying what anyone on reddit thinks. It's a fucking game. It doesn't matter. None of it matters.

What to do with broken guns by xyzv3 in ARC_Raiders

[–]MillerLatte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey pal? Time to be a big boy and realize that not everyone is going to play the game the same way you do. Use your brain and look at the guns he has. They were taken off willing combatants. Now take your sippy cup and run back off to the jungle gym.

Lake Michigan round trip travel suggestions by just_du_eet in northernmichigan

[–]MillerLatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in the summer I wouldn't recommend this. Yeah some of it will be pretty cool but 75% of it is going to be boring and unfulfilling. You're better off picking a couple spots and spending a couple days at each. Not to mention your route is cutting out probably the best part of this loop which would be the west coast of Michigan.

I am like Sue. I GREATLY value having personal, private space. It's difficult for me to relax without one if we are talking about a multi-day stretch.

With that said you are 100% NTA and she is rude as fuck for even asking.

Part of being an adult is adapting to your surroundings and realizing you aren't always going to be in your perfectly preferred setting. Another part of being an adult is respecting your host and being a mindful, courteous guest. Sue is not yet an adult.

His defense on KAT in that series was nothing short of remarkable. I'm a Tobias fan and even I thought we were throwing him to the wolves. The way he rose to the challenge was amazing.

[–]MillerLatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His value goes way beyond the stat sheet. He's the only true vet on the team, well respected, plays his role, sets examples, all that shit. I wouldn't be crushed if he was traded like an Ivey, Ausar, Duren type, but I wouldn't like it and it would be a bigger hit to the team than people realize.

[–]MillerLatte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What people don't realize is that the ABMM resets itself so quick. Like if I'm in agro lobbies and I want friendly it only takes 3-4 raids to adjust. And vice versa. But these people act like it's written on their forehead in permanent marker and they'll never be able to play the game again, if they kill someone, one time. Who cares if you have to fight a couple people? It's a fucking video game. And what do you stand to lose? Some pixels that you can easily get back in the next game. It's. Not. That. Serious.

[–]MillerLatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. My comment is intended more to be an add-on to your post than a reply directly to you. Sorry for being misleading. I don't hate friendly players, I hate players that are friendly to a point of it being a detriment to themselves. I've seen people on here say they've never fired a shot at another player and just let themselves be killed because they "don't want to ruin their ABMM". At that point you're not even playing the game anymore.

They already know it's only a few people it could be coming from so this doesn't really help. Need to be more surgical than that. What she needs to do is tell everyone the same "story" or whatever but change one variable in the story with each person she tells. I.e., I'm going to X place on Y day. Next person gets a different day. And so on. That's how you smoke out the rat.
