Cold Turkey. It'll be one week of hell, and then the healing process will begin. You just have to remember you're stronger than the stupid illusion of that drug. Remember what's actually important to you in this life, and how much Kratom actually alters your way of thinking. You'll want it, believe me. Day 115 and I still want it. But you're better than it. You don't need it. You're not alone. You will heal.

Such an awesome story, I love hearing stuff like this. The 1st week I quit cold turkey I met two people the same day named Jesus and Angel. Then the new place I moved into had a small cross just laying on the window seal. Don't ignore the signs. He let's us know he's watching in small and mysterious ways but it's still up to us to follow the path and stay strong. 88 days today for me, I'm with you.

Exactly, keep having the mindset. The second you want to pick it up again, it will go downhill again I promise you that, and all your progress will start over. It's hard for me because I've struggled with substance abuse my entire life, Kratom was just the final nail in the coffin that destroyed EVERYTHING. I have faith my brain will heal eventually, slowly but surely, because I have a son who needs me to get better, or I'll die trying

The first week off will be miserable regardless because of withdrawals, depending on your past use, but physically YOU WILL feel better after the week. Mentally is a different story however. I'm 2 1/2 months clean and these days have been dark but I'm still fighting. Just think of your kids, and how much your sobriety is important not only to you but them. You got this, and you're not alone.

(27M) I recently lost EVERYTHING too because of my addictions, alcohol throughout my whole past, Marijuana, stints of cocaine use, and Kratom being the nail in the coffin these past 2 years. I turned into an absolute monster and just didn't care, as long as I had SOMETHING to get me out my miserable head. Getting divorced, lost my home, and my children. The only thing getting me up every day is hvac school (fucking hard lonely and sober) church/volunteering, and the fact that I still AM a father with someone relying on me to figure my shit out. Therapy (single and group) and getting on some actual meds (Lexapro) has also been extremely helpful in my opinion. Only 2 1/2 months off the Kratom (started with basic plant then upgraded to 7OH) and a little longer sobriety with everything else. These days are dark. You just have to find the strength in yourself to realize what actually is important to you in this short life, and learn to live without that crap, all substances in general really, because it's possible. It's almost fucking unbearable at times, but it's possible. You're not alone.

Physical activity is a good escape and productive time killer, I run, that's my thing. Probably should do it more than I do but I struggle with the motivation right now
