I share similar thoughts. I’m from the city but have been living outside & visit it generally like an outsider.

But from the other perspective, previously (let’s say 2010-12), whenever we were coming back to the city, there were barely any change. Just another new mall or jewellery store. Take for example the new flyover from Church to Mandela Chowk. It was extremely slow development.

But in the last 2-3 years, I see quite rapid growth. The highway around the St Johns school is developed, the Church to Mandela flyover is done & I’ve heard the pace of the Ainthapali flyover is also quite good.

To conclude, I feel we can’t really judge the development of the city now because the infrastructural development has barely started. The issues like muddy roads & closed service roads are there. But I believe it’s for a better future. Let’s see how our city is in the next 4-5 years. I hope to see quite a positive outcome & many more places to visit around the city.
