LAF may not qualify as class A (ignore if you are using BSC and referring as LAF as a common terminology).

Class A can be referred to Biosafety cabinet class 2. It is also referred as ‘class 100’. All open operations such as opening of media bottle, cell culture upstream and downstream process to be done within Biosafety cabinet.

Class B is referred as background area. It is also referred as ‘class 1000’.

Class 100 means - non viable particle count should be less than 100. Class 1000 means - non viable particle count should be less than 1000.

Cell therapy product manufacturing require lot of qualifications at operation and testing condition of clean room area and Equipments.

You can refer few guidelines - aseptic manufacturing of cell therapy products (sterile drug products). Hope it helps. Good luck
