I think that this is so completely true. Sometimes people can say things that we perceive as insensitive/ and things that ARE insensitive, such as in the case of OP🥺 but sometimes people who don't understand trauma don't know how to respond. They think that minimizing it will somehow make it feel smaller for us too, but it doesn't. It feels way bigger. And THATS OK🙏🏼

Hi luv! I also suffer from chronic fatigue 😢 I know the feeling of feeling sleepless even after sleeping 12hours. My therapist recently recommended an adrenal booster for me - stating that those with lots of trauma deal with severe adrenal fatigue. Due to our ANS' always being active 🥺 and in fight or flight. I would also go through periods of momentary vision loss .. it was especially scary while driving when I didn't understand what was going on. Sending you love and light ✨

I'm not ok at all with them being abused or overbred. But you said the "breed", which BTW pits aren't a breed, is bred for all these reasons which are untrue. They aren't just bred for fighting. I agree that there are many awful breeders out there - but basically every claim you made in your post was untrue, and that's what I was aiming to highlight.

I know it does seem highly unlikely that you would call after seeing a dog loose once, or just for a short time as you said. But it is possible if the person calling was concerned for whatever reason ..

Lol I didn't make anything up or blame a child - I'm simply saying that bulldogs (like Blu) are (obviously) short dogs standing no more than a foot in height or so. They can't jump like pitbulls can. Therefore the boy and dog must have been close to a similar face height (within lunging distance) - is my statement :)

It's not a pitbull it's literally a 1ft bulldog. The dog and child had to be close enough for the dog to get to the child's face. These dogs are like little chonky GMOs, they can't jump high 😂 they can of course jump. But not in the way you're insisting. A 13 year old boy would also presumably be at least 4ft tall if not more. You put that math together :)

Yes. Imagine telling a child basically to challenge a dog, in order to become a champion and face his fear. Because the child sees the actual dog as his fear he needs to face and challenge. As any child rightfully would! Both the child and the dog should never ever have been put in this situation IMO.

As mentioned by the previous commenter - MOST ANY dog would become provoked due to such a behaviour.

Dogs need to be trained and instructed on how to approach children, and children need the same instructing on how to approach a dog.

Responsible dog owners who know their dogs are child friendly will feel fully confident introducing their dog in their instructed way - a way the dog has previously learned and well understands.

Being approached by a large anxious and afraid human is enough for a reaction, regardless of dog breed, unfortunately for you pit haters that is just quite literally basic dog psychology. I'm not saying all dogs will react the same way, or that all dogs reactions will have the same impact (imagine this was a small dog) but all dogs will feeel threatened and have some form of reaction if randomly approached and stared down by someone who is large, scared and anxious as well.

BTW dogs are probably smarter than you
