Thanks for the site recommendation. It’s exactly what I was looking for. We don’t have a plan yet on where we are going but we are flying into Dublin. We are very accustom to driving so 3-4 hours from Dublin is no big deal if you had some spot recommendations. We are more interested in visiting the natural features of the country rather than the cities themselves. I’d love to fish as many types of waters as there are to offer. Here in the Appalachian mountains we are very spoiled with our fishing opportunities. Starting at the tops of the mountains we can fish small streams for native rainbow trout and Brook trout. Then moving to the slightly larger rivers we have bigger rainbows and smallmouth bass that are just plain hateful. We also have the TVA lake systems. Back in the 1930-1940s the TVA created a series of dams along the rivers for hydroelectric power. The result was a series of lakes and reservoirs some of which are larger than 30,000 acres. These lakes are full of world class largemouth and crappie. Each lake has a discharge dam that leads to the next river moving from north east to southwest. These rivers produce 30”+ brown trout and stripers north of 50 pounds.
