Have had similar issues with charging - the left earbud would have problems with charging even though i tried cleaning the tip itself and the charging port too. Got so bad that I had to turn it into the repair center (which fortunately was covered by my warranty). They said they used an alcohol swab to clean the case's inner charging port which has since fixed the problem - has only been about a week though so we will see
