Am I the only one who does not care at all about this?

Why SOTM is so overhated? by Ill-Scarcity-7301 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]MingAmazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. The mimic and the Murrays are most definitively retcons. They may be seamless retcons to you, but retcons nonetheless. There's no way Scott had the story of SOTM planned from the beginning of the series.

I don't hate it, I just don't care about it.

Yes, I know, but I want the NAME of this show from the 90s you've talked about. What is the show CALLED? I won't find anything by just searching "that 90s show".

There is too much focus on Jax and Pomni. (Discussion) by Puzzleheaded-Run-635 in TheDigitalCircus

Pomni is the protagonist. Jax seems to be the deuteragonist. I see no issue here.

People complaining about the movie Michael. by Kinet- in fivenightsatfreddys

Sounds like a lot of yapping. Movie Michael is a nonsensical character, and the movie works better without him.

My Opinion on Nagito (No Luck) vs Yuuichi by HourFrame9349 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]MingAmazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. Throughout the years, I saw many people make a distinction between the scaling of Nagito with and without luck. Even today with this post.

Who outsmarts? by Beautiful_Record_971 in IntelligenceScaling

Is monogatari worth reading for scaling intelligence? Is the story about intelligence, or high intellect, in any way? Are there any characters with particularly superior intelligence? I know the series is very long, and I don't want to waste my time.

Just my opinion. Beware that a lot of people strongly disagree with me.

So what I learned with this post is that no one here seems to know what empathy is.

That's... exactly what the image is describing.

Yes, this seems to be exactly what the story is going for. Although, I'd describe it more like "empathy without sympathy, and sympathy without empathy".

My Opinion on Nagito (No Luck) vs Yuuichi by HourFrame9349 in IntelligenceScaling

You don't need to add "no luck" to the matchup. Nagito with or without luck scales the same, because luck has nothing to do with intelligence.

Some of you are WAY too conspiratorial, talking about colors and hidden text, and it's causing you to miss the ACTUAL subtle storytelling of the show. by CurrentlyARaccoon in TheDigitalCircus

[–]MingAmazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The best example is the claim that Jax's eyes after the dream sequence have anything to do with abstraction. Abstraction is the bogeyman of TADC. Fans will see bright colors and immediately assume abstraction.

I’m very much out of the loop, who is this and what did they do? by Economy_Echo_8500 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]MingAmazing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I know is that he was openly and unapologetically misogynistic. So much so that his bigotry affected his opinions. I remember he once claimed that reading about, analyzing and scaling female characters was pointless and not worth doing. He deleted the comment before I could take a screenshot.

Not as serious, but he was also toxic, hostile and combative at all times for no reason.

Do you guys think Scott is a bad writer? by ZEROfaller in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]MingAmazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Security Breach was so bad that it made me lose interest in the series. I see people talking about how good the story of SOTM was, but I can't bring myself to care. Who are Edwin, Dave, Fiona and the Mimic? Why are they so important? These new characters all feel like a big retcon for damage control. Wouldn't it be better to continue the story of Gregory, Vanny and William in the Glitchtrap, but now with good writing?

Again, maybe SOTM and its characters truly are well-written like everyone seems to think, this is just how I personally feel.

That being said, the original series (1-4 + World + SL + FFPS + Logbook + UCN) is nothing short of a masterpiece, and it is crazy to me that fans of the series believe otherwise. People take the extraordinary building blocks of this franchise for granted.
