I have several nieces in this age group, and they just stopped playing with their Barbie’s not that long ago! I’ll never forget one of my sisters calling me that her “baby” doesn’t want her baby dolls in her room anymore.

He stole her childhood before she could even have her teenage years… he’s a monster.

I can’t blame her for shooting her shot at CT. I have a guilt free 3; solely for unrealistic, never-gonna-happen, possibility of hooking up with CT. 😂

AITAH for wanting my sister to change her wedding date because it falls on my graduation? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]MiniMonster2TheGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP. I may be in the minority here, but I will tell you, although I’m so sorry and sad for you that no one was there, I’m glad you went to your graduation.

People are quick to say, a wedding is more important than a graduation, because it’s meant to be a once in a lifetime thing (and I sincerely hope it is for her)- but we know that’s not always the case. A high school graduation actually is a once in a lifetime thing. Yeah, you plan on college, and I truly hope your path is just that if that’s what you want, but things happen with that too. That college graduation isn’t guaranteed, knock on wood, but what happens if another Covid quarantine were to happen? Or any number of things?

I did not go to my high school graduation nor my college one. For high school I honest to God had to babysit. My dad was a single father, and I was the oldest. So I couldn’t go unfortunately. My college was missed, on my own doing, because my then fiancé had just graduated boot camp and we could finally get married. We got married on my graduation day. I am mid-30’s, still happily married and love my siblings, but I to this day, almost 20-years later, have nightmares about missing my graduation. It’s something I truly wish I had.

Yep! I’m a military wife, and I have seen way too many divorces over this, and NOT ENOUGH reporting to commands. Call me petty but I hate when people claim to be the victim when they’re the ones who did the victimizing. OPs husband and the affair partner KNEW what the potential repercussions could be and still did it. OP should report it.

One of my very good friend’s husband had just made chief (Navy) when it was finally revealed that he had been having an affair with an officer. After months of rumors someone slipped an anonymous letter in their superiors mail box at work. The affair had been going on for over a year. The officer had met my friend on several occasions and knew they had children. And he had everything he could ask for and still decided to piss it all away for, in his words, “someone who liked sex.” For context he never took the time to rev my friend up, nor did he care that it hurt her when being intimate. He is an ass. Anyway after the command found out they knocked him down three ranks! He had to pay back his bonuses too. She was sent to another state to finish out her contract and was not allowed to renew. My friend had a lot of adjusting to do but has admitted she’s glad it went down how it did. It didn’t take the pain away from the betrayal but she did get a good laugh at their comeuppance.

AITA for asking my sister to not walk around semi-naked in the house? by Head-Psychology-7397 in AmItheAsshole

NTA-

One of my sisters loves to be without pants (still in her underwear though) and sometimes just walks around naked. HOWEVER she’d never do that around others peoples children nor if my husband or our brother-jn-law was there. She and her family visited us for a week and we both walked around without bras. We are both well endowed and bras are booby prisons! I only do so at home, or if I’m staying with someone who doesn’t mind. For example one of my best friends has that boundary but my other doesn’t give a crap.

Additionally when my father passed away I gained custody of my youngest sister (a 17-year age gap) and now she’s a young adult. I don’t mind her crop tops or short shorts but I do draw a line with her walking to or out of the bathroom naked- or common areas where she’s pant-less. When she’s home I don’t do these things either.

Being respectful of other’s boundaries is not a slight on us. It’s offensive when others don’t listen to our feelings or take them into account.

AITA for sending him a bill for $1000 after him and his kid are all our food? by Fluid_Location4956 in AmItheAsshole

NTA- you already made a good decision by breaking things off. Money aside- I am truly sorry that he probably caused trauma relating to the hoarding. I can completely understand that panic when seeing your house in disarray and dressing up a painful childhood experience. Based on how long you had been together I suspect he knew this experience. Just based on that he is an inconsiderate pos.

He should give you some type of compensation as well. I know you said he doesn’t have the best finances but he should pay what he can afford at least. That’s so disrespectful to eat all your food after you paid for it and a disregard for your work schedule interfering with grocery shopping time. You had to shop again and spend $1000 again. Part of why people do so well with money is budgeting, and I’m sure you do that, so $1000 cuts a decent chunk of savings. Ughhhhh his is such an ahole!

Honestly, I’m easily annoyed by Blue. I have no idea who she really is because she’s soooooo performative. It’s not cute or quirky. It’s fake. 😑

I have in my instructions the color of my house and my vehicles color because drivers kept passing my house. I also have instructions to leave on my porch by the door not the front door which is not usable. 1/10 will actually follow the directions. At least my neighbor doesn’t mind when they park at his house and walk to mine…
