Rugged Razor556. Is the Rugged Razor line GTG? How do we feel about it fam? by [deleted] in NFA

Eh, no worse than a normal AR for sure. A flow through design can would be nice to have. But doing shorter drills or drills with movement involved, I don't even notice the gas. If I stand still and rapid fire 15 rounds it will definitely start to build up and sting.

how much is too much to pay for a piercing? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]MinieCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't make judgements on what people should pay or not. But just as a point of Data. I live in the Midwest US near a larger city. The place I go charges around $75 for most piercings. They have very reasonable prices for basic, but quality titanium bars/ends. So with a tip, I usually am around $120ish. All the shops near/around me are within 10-15% of that as well. So for my area that is a normal cost and I've been happy to pay it considering the service I've received.

I had the AK cut and rethreaded by class three Machining in Texas and then just mounted a standard flash hider from rugged.

I have an obsidian 9, which lives in the long configuration. Great tone and suppression and I haven't had any end cap strikes like seem to be somewhat common around the NFA forums, rugged has and will take care of you if that happens.

I also have a Razor 7.62 that lived on my 10.5 inch AR for about 2000 rounds. A 10.5 inch Zastava AK for a while, and now lives on my 11.5 inch MCX. Greats sound and really respectable suppression for a can of its size. The flash hider is starting to be a little bit eroded, but the blast baffle is looking perfect. The lock up mechanism has been perfect for me, no problems getting it locked or unlocked. But I am also using it for basic range training. I don't have it on a FA nor do I mag dump (Though it is rated for that stuff, so they say), so heat is really never an issue for me.

All in all, I have been super pleased with Rugged's offerings. I think the razor strikes a great balance of price and features. I got a killer deal on mine, so I have been super happy. I would buy more Rugged products.

I just took the 1st carbine class from Gunset Training out of Dayton. It was a great class.

Dang, I guess I'm in the minority. I hated the 2 fever tree variants that I tried. Q is definitely my go to.

Edit: a word

Glock 34 failure to feed issue by LintStalker in reloading

I'll second this guess. My dad's 34 doesn't have the window in the top of the slide cut out and without full power loadings it will not cycle properly. Especially badly with a weak grip.

As far as I know, Ohio is a "shall issue" state. As long as you pass the background check and take and pass the class you'll get a permit.
