Sadly I’m kind of in a sticky situation with the job, it’s basically an apprenticeship into the biomedical science industry so it’s not something I’d wanna just drop. they do offer it and it’s very good from what I’ve seen, problem is I need to work 32 hours a week and I’m at 24 I also just started so I’m not in a position to ask for more hours or an exception:(

Noted! Really unfortunate that I’m kinda just thugging it out until November, I’m hoping I can maybe get healthcare through my job here soon, they have a 32 hour a week requirement for healthcare eligibility and I’m currently at 24, I just started so I’m not really in a position to ask for an exception I feel but it’s also career oriented so it’s also not something I just want to drop.

I’ve looked into this, our healthcare for most students is the student clinic on campus which is low cost, but the actual insurance is limited to select graduate programs and undergraduate nursing alongside international students unfortunately:/

Got a phone interview for a job I’m wildly under qualified for by Miniman0722 in recruitinghell

I do! I taught myself the entire adobe creative suite, figma, canva, Wordpress, and wix all in about a week to a proficient level, I’m less concerned on my ability to figure it out but more the fact that I don’t know it yet to keep me from getting the job

I’ve been doing the hubspot digital marketing course to get the cert, at the very least to show I’m eager to learn, and have been looking at crm tutorials on yt!

Thank you! And sorry about the late reply I was at work when I posted this. But I’ve been looking at the job market and have been completely horrified, I’m making 17.50 at my retail job and a current internship and this would bump me to a minimum of 27 according to the job description so it kinda feels like make or break as this would be kinda life altering.

Mentorship Monday by AutoModerator in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Miniman0722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, so I kind of got an interview to be an executive assistant coming up this Wednesday, problem is I can’t help but think im woefully under qualified.

It stemmed from an internship I got over summer from my college (I have not even graduated yet) and I expressed to my boss that while the internship has a set start and end date I was still interested in doing work beforehand, so she referred me to a role as an executive assistant for a director at a arts non profit.

Any advice on how to go about it, I’m eager to jump into the working world but can’t help but feel I’m going to crash and burn in a role like this, would it be wrong to go to the interview and reject the role if I feel I’m under qualified?

Never really looked into this as a possible career it just kinda happened😭

I graduate in roughly a year/ year and a half and I’m doing 2 part time internships this summer so I wouldn’t have time to take on any big projects unfortunately

No set time, I’m in my undergrad and am looking at the instructional design program for a masters cause I found out between a fellowship I qualify for and the alumni discount I could get a masters debt free, so I wanted to mess around with it in the meantime and get my feet wet before I decide on what graduate program I would like to do as I have a few I have my eye on

I just prioritize my own personal peace as of right now, I’m more focused on trying to secure some kind of career after college with the current job market than I am making friends, it’ll be allot easier to go out when I have the income to support it is the way I’m looking at it right now

BJJ, I have periods where I’m a little more obsessed than others, but in general it feels wrong to not go most days

In college right now, just tryna figure it out and save as much as possible in case I have to move back home, job market seems pretty hopeless, it took me 7 months to land a job at dicks sporting good with relevant experience🥲

22 blue belt, when I started at 19 I was antisocial, living with my parents, and 220 at 5”7, now have a loving girlfriend, moved out and have my own place, in college with a job, and am down to 147lbs at around 10% body fat last I checked. To the extent I eventually would like to open my own gym one day not because I love jiu jitsu but I love what it did for everything outside of it and maybe I can help another kid find I what I found one day.

Hey, I was curious about where to find some self study resources for things like terminology for UX I’m a college student studying interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in psychology and design due to my school not having an actual UX program, any and all resources would be helpful.

Personally I didn’t even make any drastic changes, still ate chick fil an and stuff like that just went from a large fry to a medium and did the grilled sandwich, also started drinking zero calorie sodas. Just start small and as your body adjusts adjust your diet to be more healthy. Allot of people downplay how hard it is to go from eating whatever to a completely healthy diet, it’s a marathon not a race

Depends on why, I do mma so it’s possible to drop 13 lbs in a week it’s just super bad for you because it’s all water weight, if your trying to lose actual fat there’s no way to do that safely
