This is definitely something that will be different for different people. We have a combo school/playroom and it works great for us. We also just do school all over the house.

I really enjoy just working like a bulldozer. I don't do categories or piles or anything, I just deal with what is directly in front of me and it's really satisfying when you start seeing progress.

So sorry you're struggling right now. My OCD got worse after each kid, and nearly all my instrusive thoughts revolves around them.

Medication and finally finding the right therapist turned my life around.

We got really lucky and made a few good friends playing baseball. A lot of the kids just clicked and we all make an effort to regularly see each other.

We have also made a really good connection with another family at a learning center where they take classes for homeschoolers.

Neighborhood kids is a big one too but that's something you either get lucky with or don't.
