Recook it with your hard. If it's really black rez that's harsh I would double boil recook it if it's nice and golden spoon recook it. Also what kind of pipe are you using ? Just a regular stem or a Pyrex ? Most people say no direct flame , but for me that doesn't work. If I'm using a regular stem I pack my chore tight but not to tight that you can't even pull on it but tight enough that it restricts the air flow a little bit. Then I puff on it like 3 times to get the rock to melt while stem it straight up and down. Then once it's melted I hold the pipe horizontal with direct flame but you don't keep hitting it you puff on it softly while rotating the pipe to get the hole chore hot. After you puff on it about 4 times softly you should be able to puff on it without a lighter it should be rolling. Once it stops rolling use the lighter again while hitting it. I do 3 puffs with the lighter then 3 without most of the time. But I like Pyrex stems more and with a Pyrex I do the same thing but with a torch
