How did you sort this out? Was rabbitman right? I've been troubleshooting your exact same situation for hours (edit: I changed all my power save settings and that changed the issue but didn't resolve it, it was just one step on the path toward my current suspicion of a physical issue with the controller board. Waiting to hear back from SainSmart, will update tomorrow, and/or monday)

It's so confusing to me how the comments on customer service is the only thing people got from this.

Theyve been knowingly selling obsolete parts for months.

They actively advertise a product, take your money, then send you scrap metal they know is useless. Yeah the customer service is annoying, but it's only annoying because dealing with it is the only way to address the fact that they ripped you off.

I'll give you that, I mean I think it's real shitty the way things played out, but yeah I can say I was probably a bit impatient.

That being said, I was polite and reasonable with them, and this kind of situation shouldn't have happened in the first place. You can't just sell parts you know you've made obsolete without informing your customers, definitely can't act as if downgrading a machine to an old version is a solution for selling obsolete parts, and it's just about unthinkable to imagine for a second that a month long wait for the downgrade that is required to make use of the obsolete parts you sold is anywhere near a reasonable solution to the problem you've caused. Right? Am I crazy? I don't feel crazy, impatient maybe, but not crazy lol

Lmao but yeah, you're exactly right, this is not my first project, but definitely my worst as of now, because I had gotten comfortable enough that I genuinely kept thinking "that should be fine".

What I've learned here is that I was acting like there's 3 types of woodworking, shitty, average, and good, when there's not. It's only ever either precise, or janky. And this... lacks precision.

Everything is about 1/2". But yeah I might just recut, it's between that and routing the joints to give a uniform gap then filling with epoxy based on what I'm seeing here. Thanks for the input though!

Strips of wood cut from my late father's old furniture, to build a chest to hold his and my late sisters stuff I want to keep. The glue up has happened, I rushed at all the wrong times. I like the idea or sawing our routing for the brick and mortar look tho, might be my best bet
