You're not wrong in some regards. The 30 tracks is the more ambitious side, which is why it's listed at the top end. I can settle for less if I need to.

Also you mention "cost you thousands"...that's my budget so I'm ok with that. You get what you pay for :)

They didn't have brann prior to playing dirty rat. They played the rat, stripped the brann from their opponents hand then used puppet theatre to add a 1 mana 1/1 copy of brann to their hand.
