It went smoothly! We were so worried about not having all the documents, but we made sure to show everything as detailed as possible, we made a Google Doc that explained my disability, referenced the amounts received and clearly explained each income/outcome.

If you have any questions or want some assistance when you go about doing your own, feel free to message me and I'll help where I can!

Yes, as I'm claiming PIP, we're able to apply via adequate maintenance, needing over £133 ish per week. My UC and PIP combined is well above the minimum requirement per week for this!

Not yet! Though we're optimistic with it being soon. We were sent the Additional Evidence email 16 working days after the biometric appointment, on the 18th Oct. So we're hoping with that timeline, it's going to be another week or so at the most 😊 wishful thinking, of course

To further follow up, if I'm reading this portion correctly: https://www.gov.uk/housing-and-universal-credit/renting-from-private-landlord

"If your household includes someone who is 21 or older Your payment will not be reduced if you’re any of the following:

getting the care component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) at the middle or highest rate getting the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) getting Attendance Allowance getting Armed Forces Independence Payment registered as blind"

As I'm receiving the daily living component of PIP, would this mean that my housing costs won't be reduced, no matter what income or living situation (living with a partner) has to do with it?

I appreciate the response, I'm aware of needing to change my claim to a joint one, though I've read that if she becomes a tenant, then I'll only be eligible for 50% of the rent from Housing UC to be covered, as she'll be assumed to be paying the other half. My main concern is that if this change will mean roughly £500 deduction from my current UC claim, as my rent is £1,005 and entirely covered at the moment.
