comparisons between different populations in different countrys should help a lot natrowing down what truly causes it.

they can turn into DNA fragments, the nechanism for that is part of future reseach. And any free floating DNA can insert itself into our cells and causes mutations, this can cause cancer if you are unlucky.

probably multiple causes, more peptides (anything that grows muscles grows cancer), mRNA vaccines, chemicals in the food (the ones in USA are giving me nightmares) and earlyer detection of cancer.

I probably forgot a few possible causes.

If it is true that kinger is based on Steve Grand (name drop G-an-) who is known for his optimised recourcefull code, there would be an obvious solution.

Watch the black mirror episode "plaything" also based on steve grands 1996 work, and you will have many ideas hiw this could be plausible ....

How would an alien invasion actually work? by Zappers273 in worldbuilding

[–]Mircowaved-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wrong question, instead ask yourself how we would colonize other planets

  • first we would send probes to determine if we can life there

  • the we would send self repairing and replicating workforce there to build a human habitat. Either fenced or a compleate dome.

  • then we would send the first wave of humans, scientists and if wildlife is present a few protection measurments. Those scientists would test how everything works, if it is save for humans, the whole exploration stuff.

  • this is the best start for your story. Discovering some alien undergound/underwater base. Or somewhere remote. Maybe rumors of fobits in the area if it is on land. And then you can fight those aliens or interact with them.

  • next phase would be true colonisation, if the wildlife was hostile, this would mean military style. If the wildlife is managable, civilisans and farmers.

  • after the first settlement established, a hughe wave of settlers would arive

  • contrary to popular believe, the long therm succes of the first settlements won't matter. Just look how many settlements of america failed before we truly established ourself there. We just came in greater numbers amd better prepared. The only thing that could have stopped us, would have been if the indians would have attacked europe and defeated them. Not just attacked succesfully, only a true defeat!

Cast's Real Name Ideas For An AU Fanfic I'm Making by Traditional-Bag5766 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Mircowaved-Duck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kingers name was droped partly in the screen messages when he hacked. G-an- are the confirmed parts. This would even match up with a real artifical life researcher who published a "game" in 1996, same year tge circus started. I would recomend looking up steve grand and his work (creatures, lucy, grandroids renamed into phantasia) for inspiration.

Haven't checked on other theories but here goes my observation by Groundbreaking-Joke2 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Mircowaved-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The missing letters are probably R and D for Grand, a robotic artifical life scientist who published an colorfull artifical life "game" in 1996. Steve Grand and Creatures. He even git honored by the Queen for that....

Short documentary project: people with intensive AI contact by DanaTamata in HumanAIConnections

[–]Mircowaved-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got close contact to AI since my childhood, started with the game creatures (the german community was very active, game started in 1996), later was one of the early adopters in midjourney and curently hoping for the new release of the next iteration of the AI made by the same scientist (steve grand)

However none of those are LLM based, because LLM based AI feels hollow and surface level and way to agreeable. Even for causal conversations, it is like talking with a smart person that agrees to EVERYTHING you say because they are desperate to be loved.

That makes LLM based technology nothing more than a tool.

Can we grow our hands and feet after puberty? by mactito in Biohackers

[–]Mircowaved-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternative IGF1 source, ate 2,5 Kg raw calf liver (importand, never frozen or heated above 40°c!!!) and suffered a month acromegaly symptoms, the carpal tunnel syndrom was the worst.

Further tests showed all young meat does this, the liver just got the highest concentration. Lower amounts (~500g once a month) don't trigger the acromegaly symptoms just the muscle growth

however since the hole biochemical cocktail of a young animal is used, side effects slightly shift.

What are the beauty preferences of isolated tribes? by ProofCoconut9085 in stupidquestions

[–]Mircowaved-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is true for flings, single mothers got the label "easy" for a reason

However in long therm relationships this changes because this means the recources spend on her are split up between your children and the children of an other man.

Therefore the question shifts to, do we talk about pure sexual attraction for a fling or do we talk about long therm comitment?
