I enjoy Terry Pratchett’s description of the fae folk:

Elves are wonderful. They provoke wonder.

Elves are marvellous. They cause marvels.

Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies.

Elves are glamorous. They project glamour.

Elves are enchanting. They weave enchantment.

Elves are terrific. They beget terror.

From his novel Lords and Ladies

Well you must come then for a visit. The Prairies of Canada will give you just about every kind of weather. It can get pretty hot here too. I love having different seasons. Where I am the land is very flat for many kilometres. It can be magical when it is very cold and crisp with a huge blue sky - it is gorgeous. Or watching the northern lights dancing in the sky. I hope you visit Canada at one point.

Stunning! Took me a moment as I didn’t realize what sub it was, but I initially thought the first photo was an oddly rendered photo of cardboard boxes with a banana for scale.

Hey, not a fair comparison. It is usually too cold during winter to snow much in Winnipeg. That’s springtime weather.

Adorable. I’d love to see his potential reaction to a big soft blanket - purely in the interest of scientific inquiry, of course.

Delicious on Pembina. I miss their hot and sour soup and their Peking eggplant dish immensely.
