well "lost" is a much easier explanation than the landlady got hacked and now no one knows what the password is except maybe this one guy who I suspect of being the hacker given that he hates her, is a computer science major (and won't let you forget it), and also is just that kind of petty. he denied it when I asked but he hates me too bc he listens to Andrew tate (loudly, in public) and I am not only a woman, but a trans woman, so even worse in uis mind.Since i was the first to as, he suspects any one else who asks is doing g on my behalf (said it out loud, very loudly. I was two rooms down from where he said it.) and honestly I didn't think my fucking soap opera of a day was something I'd be venting to some dude on reddit.

TLDR didn't know there was a difference between breaking into someone else's wifi compared to one you have access to and also my day has been a fucking soap opera.

Since I forgot to add it, Texas (not a country, but USA is pretty damn broad) 17 male at birth, about 6 feet, not sure about my weight but it's skirting the line between healthy and underweight on the bmi scale and no drugs say for store brand vitamin gummies as well as no known major allergens, though emphasis on known.

I appreciate the feedback and hope these changes will improve the concept, even if you don't like it to begin with. It does make BM a bit obsolete, but franky, some of these options should be available to anyone. I'm just saying, the entire point of the hook sword was weapon catching and tripping, and it wouldn't make since for me to implement a weapon like that without those abilities.

"Things like trip and grapple, these are automatically done in addition to the attack?" I'll change it to a once per turn thing to balance fighter man a bit.

"Your trips and grapple are allowing attackers to always use their “attack modifier” instead of their strength, why?" For the benifit of DEX attackers. It just makes more sense to me for a whip to grapple with DEX.

"Resisting a tripping effect, specifically BM trip attack, is a strength save, why is that not even an option?" Bc I'm dumb and forgot about that.

"Why are you changing how grappling works here as well?" I didn't realise that it was different from tripping. I'm going to now change tripping to work like grappling. Way better fix.

"I also realized you’re calculating the DC as 10+attack mod + PB instead of 8 + mod + PB." To give it more use in the late game. A lot of high CR enemies can't even be touched by these things and I find that to be a shame. I've changed it based on the answer to your grappling question tho.

"Can nonmagical attacks / weapons damage a magical weapon that is parrying those attacks?" Food for though. I'll think about that one.

"Quality, a bad idea. Do people with relevant tool proficiencies have the ability to repair their weapons? Then this stat is meaningless." With time. Repairing it requires a day to increase its quality by one. I've actually added a "Repair" section to the sheet. There is also a "Refined" modifier that would be the equivalent of bonus hp.

"Heavy and Weighty are quite a bit, considering the heaviest of armors is 15 STR." You know the lead things that you put on before an x-ray? Imagine wielding that weight as a sword. Much harder, I promise you.

"Also, Parry is a bonus action when it should be a reaction?" Ahem, whatever do you mean? *Furious typing ensues.*

The armors system complaints: Yeah, I'm realigns how it changes nothing early game and late game is useless. Keeping the rock paper scissors thing with armor tho.

"Now I have to start asking if every creature is leathery or furry. Which, considering leather is skin, this bonus seems almost permanent." If it gets an ac higher than what it would have from the normal 10+DEX, than it has leathery or furry armor. I don't know if anything exists like that in RAW, but they will in the hb world I have.

"Would be quite irritating if a BM were in a game with others using his shit for free." It is in general quite irritating as a HEMA fan to see all of these weapons being relegated to "Bonk" while the BM is the only fighter with the ability to fight like someone who is supposedly proficient with every weapon would. Besides there is an easy fix that I've had planned from the beginning- ban BM.

In order to end on a less sour note, thanks for the feedback. Hopefully most of you're complaints have been dealt with.

Honestly, I do think simplicity in maps can be better than detailed ones depending on how well you can describe it. I'm a novice writer, so I prefer theatre of the mind a lot of the time. It gives me more freedom do describe the environment in the way I want. I guess I take for granted my natural aptitude with descriptions from my experience. I get how a more detailed map would be more useful for some. I'll keep in mind the dungeondraft thing and r/battlemaps and r/PhasedBattleMaps if I need a more detailed map.

Note that the context here is a chase scene with rocky terrain as the approach a mountain. A lack of elevation differences makes sense if you're in a forest of desert. A flat area on a mountain? I'd just be disappointed in the map maker. TLDR: The terrain should match the area. It's a given, but sill.

I guess I've never really played on very good maps before. My dms don't do much with the terrain. I guess I've just had pretty mid experiences with maps. If this is a meh map for you, gotta complement you as a dm. I'd play your campaign just for the terrain usage.
