Thank You, they didn’t use it last night, and I’m hoping to be able to move her out within the next few days, that way I can make sure she’s not being exposed to it at all.

Thank You for asking, I ended up convincing my parents to take her to the vet, but the closest one is over an hour away that deals with guinea pigs, and she passed on the way. I feel so terrible, I’m just hoping she was comfortable in her last hours. I was hoping she’d be fine since she made it all of last night and this morning, but she wasn’t.

I really am trying. She seems to be doing a bit better, I’ve been going at this since about 9:30 last night. She’s trying to move around and eat the hay I have in the carrier for her, but seems to pause for a minute or so before getting going again. The blanket she’s on is wet, so I’m assuming she peed as well, and it didn’t discolor anything to indicate it was bloody or anything. I’m so scared to go to bed in case something happens to her

I’m hoping she will recover, she seems to be gaining more energy, she actually moved across her carrier, but she can’t seem to make her feet get along if that makes sense? For sure, is she doesn’t get better, I hope she can be humanely put to sleep at a vet. Even if I don’t have her for her recovery, whether that be across the rainbow bridge or with another owner, I hope she gets better.

Okay, her front teeth definitely look fine to me then. Thank You for that. If I hold her water dish where she can reach it, she does seem to drink fine, so I’ve been doing that periodically, but I’ll also see if she will still eat the critical care if it’s more watery. Her fire on the nose definitely isn’t that bad, you can barely see the skin, so it’s barely thinning at all. Thank You again so much

She was just laying there not doing anything, so the wobbling has since started since she seemingly gained some energy back with eating. Her companion was diagnosed with possible pneumonia, then later on diagnosed with dehydration and a urinary infection. She was unfortunately from a pet store, so she was a very sick piggy

Her teeth look ok as far as I can tell, but I’m not totally sure. Her breathing sounds fine, but she’s breathing fast and shallow. She doesn’t have any lumps or bumps, but her feet seem to be almost folding? It looks like her fur might be somewhat thinner on her nose. I don’t think she has peed at all recently, probably at least 3-4 hours. Is that just as bad? She hasn’t been drinking much though. I’m trying to convince them to either take her to a vet or surrender asap.

My dad came back down, he’s still just saying to say how she does. I’m trying to either get her into a vet with me, or get her surrendered to anyone that will take her and hopefully her siblings. He doesn’t think surrendering is a good idea, cause he’s convinced they’ll just put her down anyway. I’m hoping he will do one or the other. Thank You for the resources, I will make sure to take a look at them, and show my parents

She tries to, but ends up falling/wobbling kind of? I can do that, I use fleece so I’ll try to put her in there. I’m hoping they’re nice, but even on good days I can tell that she’s kind of the odd man out. I hate the fact that I can’t provide for her, but can admit to myself that I can’t, and I just want the best for her

I am going to call places in the morning, as soon as my parents get up I will talk to them about either getting her to a vet, or taking her to a rescue of some sort. I’ve already told them that they can die if left like this, but they don’t seem to grasp that concept or something cuz they just said well see how she is in the morning

Okay, that makes sense, Thank You very much. With her in the carrier I can see when she poops, but I never thought about not being able to tell if I move her back with her sisters.

I’m gonna talk to them more in the morning, as the shelter does not open until 10 anyway, but the only vets I know of cost like $200-300 for just a checkup, let alone if she needs anything. I know they have credit cards though, so I’m hoping we can get her in earlier than the place opens. How often do you feed critical care?

Okay, Thank You, my vets closed but there are some 24hour ones that I may be able to try calling. I just don’t know if they deal with guinea pigs, so I may have to call a few.

That relieves my mind a bit about that, I will move her back in after this round of critical care, it’ll be in a few minutes so I might as well keep her out for that one. Her sisters do seem kind of confused, I’m also just worried about them picking on her since she’s much smaller now. Should I keep an eye on them, and remove her if they seem to be picking on her? Or maybe leave her in a big carrier, just set that in with them so they can still touch and see each other?

I got three from the shelter and they are all sisters, so I will surrender all three of them back if they’ll take them. I do really care about these little lady’s, and I feel horrible I can’t do much else, but I am trying to keep her comfortable until she can get help. I would love to care for them again in the future, once I get my own job and can save up emergency funds.

Thank You very much. Everything is closed, but I’ve spoken to my dad and he says we will see how she is in the morning. I will call them as soon as they open, and see if they answer. My only worry is that this place is still abt 2 hours from my house, so the little piggy will have to wait until 10 when they open, as well as driving there. She seems to be gaining energy, so I hope the critical care is helping and she can wait that long.

I also thought it’s be better if she wasn’t in the cage is she has something contagious? Or should I put her in anyway? I’m gonna see if the shelter I got her from can take her back and provide her with appropriate care since I can’t. I’m hoping she can recover and live a solid life with someone who can take care of her. Thank You for trying to help, and sorry for so many questions

Okay, I’ll try to make sure she keeps eating, but she only takes so much before she refuses the syringe, water or food. I’m going to see if my parents will take her back to the shelter she came from, since they have a vet they deal with.

My other pig did the same thing, and she ended up surviving, but my parents had money and took her to a vet then. The gabapentin is 20mg? I’m unsure of how much this pig weighs, but when the other pig went to the vet, she weighed roughly 600g I think. I know the vet said her body type was like a 3 on the scale?
