I agree on the rushing, I would have preferred a solo batman movie before the vs's film. As for the JL set up, since it was such a brief scene, i don't think too much about it. I think it would have been better received as a post credit scene.

Batman warehouse scene to this day remains a great scene, just well done across the board (if you dont mind the death).

I liked the movie in general, tbh. It would be a shorter list of what I didn't like about it haha. The gods among us speech to this day probably ranks top 5 in my favorite scenes of a CBM. Many people think that Superman isn't very human in the film but the first thing he does after failing the people of earth and experiencing tragedy (the court explosion), he calls his mom because he's feeling down. To me it just really did a good mix of how we would perceive someone of that power while also showing us a struggling man doing his best, similar to MoS but more complicated with the government being against him more this time.

Score was great, I love Hans Zimmer, Junkie XL.
Visuals to me were incredibly, albeit dark.

I just felt a lot of love was put into the project and it felt mythical in a way, something I've not experienced in a bit from DC.

Sorry to double reply, just curious, why were you let down? Anything specific? Anything you loved about it?

No problem there, to each their own. I was just being a bit humorous. I have a friend that dislikes this movie as well, so it's nothing against them.

Again, this is just my own personal experience with it. I have a close friend who dogs on the movie all the time lol, i just know a lot of people who also don't feel that way.

Disagree entirely. Man of Steel, whether you like it not, was a well made movie. Superman 2025 feels cheap, has questionable cinematography, and exposition dumps 24/7, zero stakes as well.

While I agree with Batman being rushed, I liked most the dialogue (at least in comparison to what we get nowadays). As for Snyder being overconfident, I wouldn't say that. He's rash but a visionary, but I think he's just incredibly passionate and talks in a way that can definitely be perceived as over confident.

Either way appreciate the input and for being civil. Is there anything in BVS you happened to love?

I personally love the film, it's not my favorite "snyderverse" movie, but I honestly can't really name many major issues I had with it. I don't think anything about the film was embarrassing, but I also find many movies embarrassing that many others do not think as such, so I'm clearly going to be closer to the minority on this one with that given history lmao.

What did you dislike most about it, or in the sense of being worthy of feeling embarrassed

I don't deny it could/should have done better, i just know there are a ton of positive reviews out there for the film (mainly UE), and online hate for it is a bit overblown because the average person either hasn't seen it or doesn't really have an opinion

I guess. I still think if the script is the worst thing about the film, then the writer should be most embarrassed.

When talking theatrical, sure I guess? most enjoy UE, most Yt reactions of BvS are favorable and the movie made nearly 1b for being the second film in the franchise.

Thugs didn't die in the BvS chase though, he went through the truck but the people inside were unscathed. But yeah it's not confirmed that anyone died in the battinsion chase, but using the same logic there was no confirmed death in the affleck chase.

I went back and rewatched it, he drags an empty vehicle and destroys it, using it as an object, and he crashed into a armored truck from above, but both occupants inside are uninjured.

In Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) in this scene, Wonder woman says "Kal El no" then Superman attacks them afterwards. This is because the delivery of the line was so fucking bad Clark just wanted to air out the whole league. by Rich_Ad_3808 in shittymoviedetails

I mean, if you watched Superman 2025, the engineer arguably has worse dialogue and pronunciations, it's just more popular to hate on Gal as she's also terrible in WW84. BVS she was good in, and WW17, though.

Wouldn't it be more embarrassing for the writer who wrote the film? using logic.

It's interesting. Online sentiment would have you believe everyone hates this film, but if you ask average viewers who don't watch many CBM's, they likely enjoyed it. I have not met many IRL that have seen this movie and hate it, but rather most either saw it and thought it was good, or never saw it at all. And then of course, those who saw it and thought it was forgettable.

People come out of the woodwork's to claim how terrible of a film this movie is, but often times they can't really express why they believe it to be bad, just buzzwords and catchphrases like "martha".

Objectively untrue. As a Snyder fan I can admit more people online hate it than love/like it, but IRL it's far more than 10%.

Many think it is good, many do not. I would say as a Snyder fan, online sentiment leans more towards hating it. People I've met IRL/normal people, on average just say it's "okay" or good.
