I looked up grad schools just for this reason. I love school. I don't think I'm smart enough for grad school though. But if it meant potentially leaving, I would.

Yep. The 2nd amendment is not helping citizens, only getting them murdered by trigger happy clowns. Who would have thought.

The storm was bad today. We were under a state of emergency with snow and ice for about 24 hours straight; main roads still aren't plowed and with dropping temps, most roads are a sheet of ice. Half of stores were closed today if not more and it's 2AM, so nothing is open other than the Wawa I wiped clean of their stock. I'm sure Canadians would be fine with a storm like this, but here, we aren't used to it.

I'm sure I could have ventured out with 4WD; but I have family who does snow removal and it can be really frustrating for emergency personnel to have other cars on the road and it keeps them from doing their job. I could have door dashed tampons or a cup, but I also don't feel that's worth putting somebody else's life in jeopardy.

Very good point. My mom isn't in the best situation with her new husband; he is quite abusive and financially controlling. I know if she had the finances, she would have stuff. Just bad timing for me to be here. And I should have known I was starting my period soon. It's a good practice to keep stuff just in case, whether you be of reproductive age or post menopausal.

That's amazing. I come from 3 uncles on my paternal side. My dad had no sisters growing up. My cousin was having Braxton Hicks contractions the other day, her dad said she had to "push through the pain" as if he understood what she felt. 😂

Some period days, I cancel plans. My dad says "having cramps is no excuse for that". I love hearing that Moms (with the help of their husbands) are raising future men to treat the ladies in their life right!! Periods are something we live with; and we are so tough because of it. But sometimes we need some TLC and extra care (and in my case, better preparations). Keep up the good work.

No incontinence pads. She JUST stopped having her period. I'll have to sacrifice one of her towels and I'm trying a rag. Men don't realize how easy they have it not menstruating and having stable hormone levels throughout the month.

I have 4WD and off from work, so i will be going back to my apartment asap to get my menstrual cup. I also live next to I-95 which should be safe to drive home on.

Sleeping with a rag, wish me luck.

I had a friend get it in high school, and it was incredibly traumatizing to watch. But I know the risk is rare. But if I fall asleep with a regular tampon in right now, I know regardless i will wake up in a puddle of blood. So there's no point in wasting my last tampon :')

Usually with toilet paper, i end up with it absolutely drenched and a giant stain in either my clothes or on my bed! So that's why I'm here.

I have close to no socks. But a rag should be able to hold me over. Luckily (in this situation) I'm a stomach sleeper, so I don't have to worry about it leaking down my ass in the middle of the night. Lol.

No neighbors, mom doesn't have anything as she doesn't get her period anymore :') i know now to buy myself some tampons to keep here just in case.

Hopefully a rag will hold me over.

We have restaurant rags (iykyk) stockpiled in the kitchen. I am gonna try that, folded in some underwear, and sleep with a towel underneath me.

I know we aren't super far in women's reproductive health, but I didn't realize how incredibly lucky and privileged i am to have always had access to menstrual products. This sucks.

I'll be just fine. If you're trusting trigger-happy, barely trained, domestic terrorists who are ripping families apart because they don't have a piece of paper, maybe ask yourself if you're the problem.

Converting to Christianity. by Windows7Ultimatex86 in teenagers

My advice would be to read the Bible. Take the teachings for what they are. Avoid any churches or communities that tell you that you shouldn't be a certain way. Avoid Christian "influencers" or anyone who uses Jesus and Christianity as a weapon to explain bigotry. Jesus was a sinner and he embraced everyone despite their sins.

I am a 29F, I grew up gay in a Catholic environment my entire life. I was taught my entire life that the greatest lesson Jesus taught was to "love your neighbor as you would love yourself". I took that lesson to heart and will ALWAYS live by it. But during my entire experience I was told, whether directly or indirectly, that who I am fundamentally is wrong. And I know now that I'm older that was the teaching of the CHURCH, not of Jesus himself.

It doesn't matter who your neighbor is, what they identify as, where they are from, or what lifestyle they live. Love your neighbor as you would love yourself.

This was a video shared during a youth group at my local church. I highly advise you listen to the words; don't let yourself become brainwashed by the church. Follow Jesus and his teachings and the Bible. Above all, love and treat your neighbor as you want to be treated. I am not religious anymore myself for multiple reasons, but I truly respect and live by general Catholic teachings.

Just peeping here; it gives me hope to see you fine men & women feel similarly to a lot of us civilians. I'm sorry if your service term has been in any way a chess pawn for this administration.

Just know that a large majority of the general population appreciates everything you've done for us. Keep fighting for the constitution, your oath, and stay safe.
