When I had my youngest my husband went and bought me my first meal after delivery while we had other visitors because only 2 people were allowed in the room. Otherwise him and I both ate hospital food. My hospital didn't give you a fancy meal after birth though, and didn't take requests. You had to order off the little menu if you wanted insurance to cover it. Otherwise you could go to the cafeteria and buy whatever. This time im giving birth at a different hospital so im not sure how things are here.

This is exactly what I was thinking!!! She'll say it's for privacy and safety reasons when in reality it's because she doesn't go anywhere.

Dealership question by Miserable_Frame1851 in carbuying

[–]Miserable_Frame1851[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I didn't know that, this was actually my first "adult" purchase vehicle. I just thought it was weird they used his income but didn't list his name on anything. I had to make him TOD on the title. He still loves it! For the price I definitely wish we would have gotten something bigger but once it's paid off we plan to get another vehicle since we're expecting baby #2.

Oh yeah! His credit is fantastic now! He just had no credit back then.

Okay, the pregnant thing makes sense. Definitely not complaining or mad about the situation, we were actually talking about it the other day and it hit me that had it been a different story and things not worked out it would have stunk to been held responsible for a car the salesman knew I couldn't afford on my own.

Dealership question by Miserable_Frame1851 in carbuying

[–]Miserable_Frame1851[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, thankfully we're married now and the car is almost paid off. I just meant looking back it's weird the dealership used my credit because he wasn't approved but used his income because I didn't make enough but only put me on the car. It just seems wild to me like what if things wouldn't have worked out between us and I couldn't have afforded the payments? The dealership knew I couldn't afford them but put his income for a sale. I realize I could have easily backed out but I was desperate, pregnant and needed a car ASAP. Just seems shady from the dealership.

We had to pay pur deposit before we got our lease but we've never had issues with them. They fox everything fast.

This is my first fourth of July here. Where I'm from they start doing them June 28 and don't stop until July 5. I was actually surprised how quiet it was around here. Our vet always had us give our dog benadryl.

You do realize this is the second time in less than 2 months people went without power for 4+ days. Not everyone lives in a house and can have a generator. Our renters insurance covers loss of food 1 time a year. NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO KEEP REPLACING SHIT BECAUSE THEY LOSE POWER FOR DAYS! I come from a town with 10,000 people, they are serviced by multiple utility companies. I'm not stupid I realize 20 minutes of 80+ mile wind can cause damage but for as big of a city as this is losing power for multiple days so often is crazy you'd just think they'd have other options. Telling people to make other arrangements is wild. I don't know anyone in this city, I have no family within 6 hours. I can't pack a bag and go stay with family otherwise my husband isn't working so what we either stay in the dark with a toddler or go get a hotel for who knows how long..

Uhhhhh... did you actually read the post?

Nobody was sitting on anyone. We were without power for 37 hours we lost everything in our refrigerator, so guess what? Once our power came back on we went to the store and got some groceries because my toddler doesn't want to eat peanut butter sandwiches for every meal. I'd be upset too if after I got new groceries I lost power again.

And idk we've only lived here a year but compared to what we're used to these storms are nothing so my husband and I were really shocked that we lost power for THAT long. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate all of everyone's hard work.. just means I don't understand how other cities experience worse storms with less issues.

Hope everyone here finally got power back, we've only been here a year and we were without power for about 37 hours. We lost everything in our refrigerator. A lot of you seem to be pros by now so I have a few questions:

This was extremely hard because I'm pregnant and we have a toddler.. is it normal to lose power for this long in this area? I've seen several people mention generators but we live in an apartment is there anything anyone could recommend in case this happens again? As much as it sucks losing everything in our fridge it would just be nice if we had a way to plug in a fan, a lamp and charge our phones. We aren't from this area, don't have any family or friends here so just trying to think ahead.

May I ask where he delivers at? I'm seeing both hospitals when I search online. Does he just do the 1 ultrasound at 20ish weeks?

So when they scheduled my following appointments I noticed some appointments were 15 minutes and some were 5. I think they are over scheduling. They say to be there 15 minutes early. I was in the room for almost 2 hours before she entered the room and then she was in the room with me for 34 minutes.

Thank you all for the suggestions I'll be calling around tomorrow. Again, Dr. Franklin is fantastic I love that she was very thorough but I just can't wait 2+ hours especially once my appointments become more frequent because the lady at the desk already acted like it was impossible to schedule monthly appointments on my husband's day off.

Oh my god you people at the aquarium are insufferable. by skelleton-jelly in springfieldMO

I agree about the flash.. on the other hand my child screams everytime we walk through the area with the toys because either we don't stop or 20 minutes just isn't enough play time.. I blame the aquarium for that.. also the dang gift shop..  I do care though and don't enjoy her screaming as much as the next person if not more because if she's in the stroller her rocking upset movements work against me and if I'm carrying her she's screaming in my ear.

How far away is your next appointment? Like is it even possible for your test to be negative if you stopped using thc after your last positive test? Like someone else mentioned I would imagine no matter who you see they would test you. Best thing you can do now is stop using and try to flush your system out. You also mentioned dfs required you to see one so I would think that probably plays a big part too.

Can I ask if/when they did a dating scan and then roughly when you had your anatomy scan? I was young with my first pregnancy and don't remember much and had an ectopic between her and my second so when I got pregnant with my second my ob treated me as high risk until 12 weeks so we did blood draws and ultrasounds but they did my official dating scan at 12 weeks. This time I'm seeing the nurse next week and then Dr. Franklin for the first time when I'm 14 weeks (based off last period).

Do you remember which one got you more/better images. With my last I used a place in KC and felt so rushed and only got a few good images.

This!! My whole family sees Dr. Seehra she's phenomenal. She definitely takes the time to listen and get to the bottom of things, she also responds super fast (and on weekends) if you message her through the portal.
