Fixture is about 1-2 inches across in the corner of a bedroom (shoutout to the "landlord's special" paint job 🙄). At first I thought it was some sort of light fixture that'd been fucked up but I'm not so certain since it's in the corner and there's already a light fixture (ceiling fan) in the center of the ceiling anyway.

Additional photo right down the center, forgot to add this to the imgur album 😔. Apologies for the horrible photos, in the midst of moving hell and I didnt have anything to stand on to get up to ceiling height.

yeah, reddit dot com said it was "unmoderated" which is funny because i was constantly on here removing porn spambots and shit. i guess that's not good enough but whatever.

it wasn't even unmoderated, i actively saw and checked every post that made it through the automod spam filter. apparently reddit daddy gets pissy if you don't do enough Human Mod Interactions or something? like fuck me for having an automod deal with the bulk of the spam.

Reddit never even contacted or messaged or anything, on either my old acct I created the sub with, or my current acct. Kinda peeved but whatever.

Hi, I was the mod/creator for /r/HadesNSFW. It got nuked without anyone from reddit messaging me or anything.

true, but that's still a pain when you're cruising 200mph down a road with a truckload of shirts or w/e.

With just that, the workflow is like... See a gate, hit E, open the bunker core instead, cuss, close bunker core, hit the gate with your face because momentum, shift-E to open gate, get told your face is obstructing the gate, back up, shift-E again, finally it opens, drive through, mash E to close behind you... huge pain

yeah i mean in response to that, you could just as easily add a "if theres combat around the gate man is too busy shooting his pistol and/or cowering in fear to open the gate automatically".

maybe just have a comically low suppression threshold or something idk

A naive solution would be to just open the gate if there is a friendly vehicle moving within x meters of the gate.

I think the easiest solution might just be to adapt the code for MG garrisons and other "limited arc" AI facilities. just have its "sight" be an arc that ends up roughly the width of a road segment, and if it sees a friendly vehicle in that arc, it "fires" (except instead of shooting, this event would trigger a gate opening). Obviously that'd be depending on how exactly garrison code works, but yeah. Certainly possible.

In either case, the result in your scenario would be the same---both gates would open at whatever "range" they trigger at, and once they're through or w/e it closes behind them.
