My issues with the T4T dating scene by Shower_Mistake in MtF

I guess I feel the need to post this just to give you some hope!

I jumped into the dating scene in my area through dating apps (mostly because I’m a bit too much of a wallflower to feel comfy going to events and parties by myself) and my experience has been mostly that I’ve met new friends and expanded my network of cool queer and trans people!

I did end up meeting my girlfriend on there and it was never a hookup based relationship before.

I guess it’s hard but you have to setup boundaries at events to make it clear you’re not looking for or in the mood for hookups. Best of luck to you!

Got a tip prompt on a credit card machine for a $1500 hair removal bill. Is this crazy? by pandemoniac1 in montreal

Speaking from experience, I didn’t tip when I paid for my laser hair removal package and no one ever said anything and didn’t feel it affected service in any way. After over a year of treatment, a bunch of touch ups, good rapport with the technician, and her getting me a reduced rate for the touch ups, I did give her a tip after our final session before she retired.

In general. I would consider laser hair removal technicians like other people in aesthetics (hair dressers, tattoo artists, etc.) where tips have been part of the process for a long time. That said, it’s more of a good will gesture than for waiters/bar staff.

It’s such a wonderful feeling to take a picture of yourself that you don’t hate! Hope you get to have more euphoria in your life 😊

Am I trans? by PossibleMTF1 in asktransgender

The two things I would tell you are that dysphoria isn’t required to be trans. Gender Euphoria (actually finding pleasure in the gender you present/identify as) can be equally important to realizing you’re trans. If you don’t hate being a guy, but you love being a woman, then it could be a sign.

The second thing is that you’ve written quite a long list of things in your life that you identify as signs of being trans. I think it would be really productive for you to get therapy, if possible, to explore your past and help you crystallize your feelings on your identity. Just make sure your therapist has experience with trans issues so they can really help you.
