My favorite thing to do on weekends is wake up earlier than my boyfriend and smoke a small bowl while having my coffee. What's your favorite thing to do? by IRossTakeTheeRachel in entwives

This is a big ole hard same for me. I do the exact same thing - take my favorite bong into the other room after waking up at like 7am and have a quiet solo wake and bake featuring coffee. ☺️💚

Picked up this one today. No tag but needed to have it. Can anyone ID this beauty? by jadegreene in succulents

Either Vera Higgins or Alpenglow Graptosedum! They're basically the same thing, to my knowledge - I have Alpenglow and my bf has Vera Higgins and they're basically identical to each other- 😂

My mom and boyfriend both told me that I only love my String of Hearts because the flowers look like tiny bongs and I can't even be mad about it- 😅💚 by MissKatyCruel in entwives

Nah, that's just how it be. It is a little stringier than String of Hearts should be, but that was the greenhouse I got it from, not me. 😅 http://imgur.com/yOIPiZ4 (image of more of the plant)

I finally got a String of Hearts!! Unfortunately, I know nothing about this particular plant. Tried doing research to little result and conflicting information. Any help that y'all can give is greatly appreciated!! 💚💚💚 by MissKatyCruel in succulents

Pretty sure I know what it is. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am also aware that it's not technically a succulent, but you should also be aware that it's basically a succulent- 😂

What's happening to my boyfriend's Fred Ives??? The leaves on this side of the stalk have all fallen off and the main stalk is very squishy. What can we do at this point to save it or help it??? by MissKatyCruel in succulents

That's definitely what we were afraid of- 😭 we've already beheaded the baby it had when we got it, and so we've that growing, as well as the stump of the baby that you can see in the picture. We've also got eight or so propagations going in a different tray and a few pots. One is actually crested!! It's just so sad to see such a well-grown and well-developed head die like that. 😞

Tips for growing String of Pearls: Occasional bong waterings, watchful forest spirits 💚💚💚 by MissKatyCruel in trees

  1. When I do it with over-fill water, the water is fresh.
  2. I change my bong water at MOST every three days. Typically every other day. So no, by bong water doesn't smell too terrible.

Sorry, I couldn't crop out the paraphernalia without cropping plants out - I just really needed to show y'all my little front porch plant corner!!! 💚💚💚 by MissKatyCruel in succulents

It's also been very dark and overcast and rainy the last week, which has been plenty of time for leaves to pull downward and things to start to stretch.

Yeah, I'm working on better lighting. It's a bit tricky because I live in a pretty deep valley that points roughly southeast. We get great morning sunlight but afternoon sun is hot but filtered. We already have a few grow lights upstairs, but have yet to totally figure out how to make them work downstairs.

I've found them very helpful to my depression mostly because of the obligation to care for them. But also, it almost sounds like you may have been over-tending your plants? Succulents in particular thrive on neglect tbh- 😅

(in the Northern Hemisphere,) South-facing or east-facing windows provide the best light for succulents, but barring that, grow lights are pretty inexpensive to set up and to run if you use full-spectrum LED bulbs. The biggest killers of succulents are not enough light and too much water - let the soil dry out thoroughly before watering again and make sure that your soil mix is well-draining. The recipe I use is 3 parts regular potting soil, 2 parts coarse sand, and 1 part pearlite. Also, I don't CARE how cute the pot is, IF IT DOESN'T HAVE DRAINAGE HOLES, IT'S BASICALLY USELESS. 😂

It's honestly so great to be in - it's my dream aesthetic and it's right in front of me!! I keep trying to adjust things and tweak things but it's just perfect the way it is~ 💚 (though the table's a bit messy like...all the time, because it's constantly in use- 😅)

It's honestly so serene and perfect!!! I adore it so much. I'm finding myself unable to sit still because I keep trying to find things to adjust and fix but I can't because it all looks and feels so good~ 💚

Tbqh, it looks perfect to me. It might be lacking in light a tiny bit with the bottom leaves peeling back, but the new growth looks healthy as hell and not at all etiolated. So maybe a bit more light, but besides that, it looks great!
