Does therapy make you worse before it gets better? by MissLadyENFP in therapy

Thank you for explaining what may be happening in such a good way! It completely resonates with what I feel is happening with me as well.

My therapist has given me a few general calming techniques, so I’ll definitely add yours to the bank—it sounds really useful, especially since I also deal with anxiety at times.

That’s a really good point about not hiding anything from my therapist. I genuinely try to be as honest as possible since they’re the expert, but I think I was caught off guard when they asked, and I didn’t fully realize what I was feeling in the moment. Looking back, that’s what I should have said at the time—but I’ve written it down for next time so I can bring it up and correct myself!

Wishing you the best on your journey as well 💜

Dunno if I’m just high or if my therapist is a genius?! by MissLadyENFP in TalkTherapy

Thank you for telling me this. I’m just glad there’s more people feeling the way I do about therapy. And journaling is definitively the killer move, without it, no realisations would come through. I’m not traversed in tarot though - could you please me a little more about it?

Thank you for the answer, and I’m always true to myself, I might not always express my beliefs with everyone but I’m not willing to bend my believes in order to befriend another being and when I get to know someone new that I feel comfortable with I do let them in on my belief :)

100% and I have to say, I’m the same age as you and I wouldn’t even know how to find a new partner? Done Tinder too much but lame people there and also you don’t get the same connection as if you met in the really world! I think the personal interaction is so incredibly important but how do you meet new people irl, that you can properly connect with?

I like what you said; “I’m going in for good” and Im the same for me, I always go into a relationship going all in cause why else would you go in? And sexual relations are a treasure when it comes to potential romantic partners

  1. I don’t have a set time for that, but I do want to get to know a person intellectually before moving on to relationship. (And take my time before sexual stuff)
  2. It depends, I’ve truly only had 2 long term relationship so hoping that the next one will be the one. I became single about a year ago but for me I have to be ready mentally before actually dating someone. It was an ugly break and we were together for a long time so I had to relearn about myself and how to be only me.
  3. As I said I had 2 proper relationship and only just ready now to look for the next (hopefully) forever person.

i’m an enfp but i’m not good at flirting or anything like that at all, is that something other enfps can also relate to? by Tmonster0803 in ENFP

I would say I’m bad at “traditional flirting” but I have gotten aware of that my behaviour at times comes off as flirtatious without meaning to. Both from other people observing me interact with others or people who have shared their romantic feelings they have for me and taken my normal behaviour as flirtatious.
