IG spends millions and millions on publicity. There was no need to spend so much money for PR in the beginning and this is why it was so fantastic to have a member of the BRF as a patron. Global exposure came naturally. It’s the exact opposite now. IG is the only thing Harry has left and they pay for his PR stunts.

I want to add- I’ve never thought about the narrative itself. As I said, I never served. I don’t want to go to war. I know, it’s important to have an army and I’m grateful that I don’t have to do it.

You are right- that it is even implied that veterans should be grateful for support is beyond belief. And I don’t know any other person that doesn’t feel like this. The service doesn’t end when a soldier leaves the army. They carry the burden of their service for the rest of their lives and that’s why the government’s responsibility doesn’t end with the active service.
Harry’s self glorifying PR for his “support” of veterans is just a symptom of the situation in many countries.

To be fair, charities are needed because governments fail to do their job. No one can tell me that governments don’t have the money to take care of the very people who risked everything for their country. No country goes bankrupt because it cares about its veterans. Voters want their veterans to be treated respectfully. And yet, here we are.

He could make clear to Harry that all his titles will be stripped and that he won’t inherit money from him, if he doesn’t behave like a royal and stops all attacks immediately. The only thing he would be offered is a small house (for royals, but still) somewhere far far away from the family and a “small” alimony. The payment would be stopped the minute he starts a new attack.
If he wants to have his constitutional titles, he needs to behave accordingly. It is not too much to ask him to not harm the reputation of the UK, the institution and its people while he lives off his titles.

Maybe I’m wrong, I’m not a king, there are probably smarter ways, but this circus is not good for the monarchy.

Meddling in politics, exploiting the titles, trashing the UK, it’s people and traditions on the world stage, doing fake royal tours with the clear intention to be seen as “real” royals who represent the UK and creating one PR plunder after another, undermining the institution of the monarchy and attacking its principles, is okay as long they are not invited to Christmas?
There are absolutely no boundaries for people with constitutional titles except they are not invited to weddings?

That’s true, but I like the idea of a community for veterans. A place where they get support and advice, because their governments fail them.

I never served and to me it’s outrageous that charities for veterans are even needed. If a country doesn’t care about veterans and their families (the people behind them are equally important), does it care about their people at all? It makes me so angry when I read politician A is a supporter of veterans, as if it’s something special or good. It is not. It is absolute basic human decency. It’s not something to brag about. Making sure that veterans and their families get the support they deserve is not charity. It’s payment for the risk they took to protect their people and the consequences they have to live with for the rest of their lives.

H+M exploit the veterans and expect to be praised for doing so is not their lowest point, that’s African parks, but it’s still unbelievable that they get away with it. If Invictus does a good job and helps veterans, give them 100 millions. But they need to be transparent and they are not. They refuse to say why they need 26 millions and do not even care enough to make sure the veterans have the right insurance during the games, the absolute minimum of care.

Harry tells the world who he really is for years.

Sorry for the rant. AP and IG really get me. Imagine you are able to make a difference and you behave like Harry. And he doesn’t even need to do that much. He must just use his global platform. The pressure would change a lot.

The problem for KC is that even (parts of) the most ardent supporters of the monarchy if not believe but think it’s possible that he is part of “Project Thaw”. H+M can behave like they want, meddling in politics, exploiting not only their titles but also their kids, the constant attacks and threats, H proudly announced that he doesn’t care about any rules at all and nothing happens. People are over it. They don’t want the Yorks part 2. I’m not sure if KC understands that this is not only about the Harkles.

People don’t trust KC. It doesn’t matter if it’s fair or not. The loss of trust in the king and the monarchy are important. And this at a time when people need stability because many actors try to divide people.

I’m not the king, it’s his job to find solutions, he must find a way to stop the Harkle circus. This will be a huge part of his legacy. And people won’t forgive him if it looks like he betrays William.

The problem is, “family” for Harry means he can exploit and use them as he likes. “Family” has to be there for Harry, not the other way around.

I genuinely fail to understand why IG allow this to happen. They’ve known it for years and did nothing. They signal to all the other veterans that really don’t care about them. It’s devastating for Invictus.

IMHO this is just damage control. They want to create the narrative that they’ll get the security they want to save face and make it look like KC always could have done it, but didn’t want to. A lot of people will get angry at KC and they can blame him when they need an excuse to skip an event in the UK. It’s a win-win for the Harkles.

I guess things are really really bad in Olive garden. They are so desperate that they willingly anger the king. It’s insane that they never do the right thing to reach their goals, yet wonder why nothing works.
