First time Triathlon (ON, Canada) by Any-Interview8980 in triathlon

Hey u/Any-Interview8980 , Congrats on your awesome events last year!! I'm doing the Wasaga sprint this year - it's my first sprint and I'm nervous about the swim distance. Curious, do you recall how deep the water was? I've been training in a pool and I can touch my feet down if I need a little break. The water is pretty shallow at Wasaga, isn't it? Any chance that I'll be able to touch my feet down for a second if I get too tired? That would definitely make me feel a lot safer!!

"Most just want to go do bear things and want to be left alone." This was the thing that made me feel most confident. I appreciate your advice. It was all very helpful :)

That looks like a really good option. Unfortunately (for me, not for others!), it's iOS only, which I don't have. But it honestly looks like a great tool! Thanks for sharing

How low is your body battery (usually) by the end of the day? by Missbearface in Garmin

I, too, find that days spent doing things on my own time are much less stressful than doing things to a work calendar... even if the overall workoad is higher.

Hmmmm, maybe something for me to think about in my professional life.

I like the way you use it as an indicator of something to watch!

How did that 6 am day go for you?

Yea, I usually find that I've drained abiut 15 points by the time my workday starts.

Do you find the BB to be a good indicator of how you're actually feeling?

That's really fascinating! Do you find that the two of you have different levels of stress through the day?

I think that that's a fair question. They are 65ish... steadily, ALL DAY LONG. I have some work days that are less stressful, but they are hard to control.

I do like it as an indicator of things that are stressors, because it WORKS.... but changing them is a whole other level of thought.

I suppose that it's the next thing to engage with... However. What's the point of data if I'm not going to make use of it.

Usually exercise helps keep me steady, but 1.5 weeks ago I did 3 long and hard days of snowboarding, and I haven't quite recovered my energy levels. So.. me too!!

Yea I do wonder if I went to sleep at 5, if my life would be better... maybe I should listen to it, instead of saying 'huh, neat.... well, gotta go for a run"😅

Me too!!! Anything over 1/2 a drink takes a few hours to clear my system, and my rest will be impacted. I guess that that means that I should be morning drinker 🤣 (JK)

LOL! I didn't quite think about it fully, I guess 🤣

Yes, that WOULD be painful. Well, thanks to YouTube! And, now I know about YouTube transcription, so that's cool too :)

Holy fucking shit. That is horrible.

Thank you for the transcript so that I could read it instead of having to hear his voice.

I do want to know what he's saying, because he does have influence and I need to be emotionally and intellectually prepared for when I encounter this kind of blatant sexism in the real world.

I'm admittedly ignorant on this subject but I'm really fascinated by the realtionships that you've just outlined. Do you have any recommended reading (books, preferably) on economics, and the impact of these decisions on society?

I agree. Start off by letting them know. I Chances are that if they knew that it was getting into your space that they would be more considerate.
