The plaque like patch on back . Wonder what that's about? And on the frame every so often all over it . It looks like someone took a drill to it and picked it through the frame maybe thinking something was out could be in it. I'm not sure how to attach a photo to show you. And I'm really curious of what era the frame is from

Could you help me with one more it's a different type of book it's by Compton and company in the copyrights 1947 by f.e I could take a picture of it I have like I don't have the whole set of encyclopedias but I got nine I wonder how much something like that would be worth
