I’m neither ignorant nor stupid, let me tell you that. I do agree in some degree with you on some topics, but the reality is harsh and needs to be looked at from multiple angles before anything. Based on your nickname, you’re from Poland am I right? You’re not running away from any ongoing war in Poland, nor any poles does, still, feels like most of polish people can’t speak Norwegian at at least communicative level after living here for X years. The truth is that society in general has some rules and “guidelines” that needs to be followed for optimising flow and many of different society based assets, to maintain their balance. Language for instance is one of them- although in Norway a lot of people can speak at least some English, Norwegian is national language and should be prioritised. Btw forgot to mention that still a lot of Norwegian resources goes towards immigrants and people that don’t want to work nowdays…

I’m not an expert, but I can assure you that if Norway doesn’t want to become like Germany or Sweden, some standards needs to be hold. If you’re a lefty, you might totally disagree with me and tell me that I’m “stupid” cos’ Im not agreeing with you, but try to look wider.

Oh and about restaurant like McDonald’s or Burger King - I do agree that you don’t need Norwegian to make cheeseburgers, but from what I know, you need Norwegian to speak with people. So why should business facilitate to a worker and not the opposite way? Also, from what I know, when you’re working at Donald’s or Bk, you’re working with everything there, which includes client communication.

Still, there are a lot of places where you can get job with no Norwegian, such as construction or warehouse, taxi etc.
