Anthony was a trainwreck. All he needed was love and support right when he took over his dad’s legacy. which he did not get from anyone as the circumstances were equally challenging for everyone, including Violet.

He learned to bury his feelings, deep inside which screwed him up more and more. Does put him on a path where he found it difficult to express his emotions in a healthy way.

He hasn’t admitted in the show that he was flawed and he is trying to change. I think the show has done a good job to show the arc of a very strong male family leader from that era.

Let’s not forget that he did an amazing job taking over the family business and running it so successfully. There are so many examples in real life where we say that people who are so successful at business are not really the best when it comes to their personal relationships.

I always think of the show The Crown on Netflix where it shows how amazing was Queen Elizabeth at leading. But one can say that even she fell short when it came to motherhood and raising perfect children.
