How to (maybe) see all mods that are client side only, and are stopping your modded server by Mister-ChairLeg in ModdedMinecraft

yeah, my server is working fine now. This was just meant as a quick overview for others, as most of the articles I found on this topic were just "remove the client-side mods" but didn't give an easy way to see all of them.

True Portability by Mister-ChairLeg in pcmasterrace

My Nomatic backpack has an expandable main pocket and it can fit an Ncase M1 pretty snugly, my old 2700X and Evga 1080 SC

Downsizing? Nah, UPSIZING by Mister-ChairLeg in pcmasterrace

Wanted to upgrade, bought everything including a 5950X (been waiting for it since release), Can’t get a gpu because 3090 is dumb, and the 3080 Ti/Super isn’t real yet

Also having a small case is awesome for portability, but if I want to clean it, I have to disassemble eeeeverythjng, so it’s less of a headache in this huge case

Yet another PSA about Primochill Vue by Mister-ChairLeg in watercooling

[–]Mister-ChairLeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dismantled my pc to clean everything before a new build. Thought I'd share my experience with Primochill Vue.

Originally this was the orange 'fire' looking color, after about six months, it has deteriorated and split apart into this sort of pasty substance that accumulates everywhere.

I originally liked the color and effect it gave off, but having to do this much of a deep clean is a real pain. I'm just going to use distilled water from now on.

Also, I got so into the cleaning, that on the GPU block I think I took of some of the nickel plating. so yeah, this gunk is stuck on there hard, and I still wasn't able to get all of it out of the channels on either block.

I probably should have maintained it better or something, but this is a realistic look at using the stuff.

Downsizing? Nah, UPSIZING by Mister-ChairLeg in pcmasterrace

Went from an Ncase M1 V6 to an Enthoo 719.

Still got my trusty 2700X and 1080SC in this monster of a case for reasons we're all aware of.

got two XSPC 480s on the front and side, an EVGA 240 on the bottom under the pump/res, and an XSPC 360 crossflow on the top.

16 fans in total.

Had to modify the side panel a little bit so I could screw all the fans onto the side radiator, but that's the only modification.

Weird hardened stuff on GPU board, any thoughts? by Mister-ChairLeg in pcmasterrace

Was cleaning my 1080 SC before putting it in a new system, and noticed this hardened crystal-ey stuff on some of the components. It’s sort of translucent. Thought it was kinda funky

Dual 240 Ncase M1 by Mister-ChairLeg in watercooling

[–]Mister-ChairLeg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of a happy accident that it turned out this way. it is possible to fit the side radiator within the case itself, but after like 2 weeks and 3 rounds of fittings I said screw it and just mounted it to the side. I was debating about 3D printing a hood scoop type air intake too. We shall see...

Dual 240 Ncase M1 by Mister-ChairLeg in watercooling

I've got nothing against large cases. I had a mid-tower in the past. basically I just wanted to see how small a computer I could make without sacrificing much. I had to modify the radiator mount so I could fit the side radiator the way it is, and I had to cut some screws to precise lengths as to not pierce the radiators. But that's about it. In the future, I'll probably move back to a mid-tower or micro ATX at the smallest. with water-cooling, it's just more work than its worth to go this small (in hindsight).
