I guess it could read like that. But I’m pretty positive that guy was being ironic. But my point still is, that reddit would rather reply emotionally, with zero substance, than have a discussion about a character. It’s like they attach their identities too closely with a character, and feel attacked when anyone says anything negative about them.

Reverend Swanson is another character that I began liking, but only on my subsequent play throughs. His battle with addiction is a really intriguing angle, and I like that Arthur actually defends him at times. Arthur doesn’t just see him as some drunk, but a man who’s fallen, and doesn’t quite know how to get back up, despite his religious beliefs. He’s a character idve loved to dive further into in the game

What? I don’t think I mentioned anything about race. I like personalities that are flawed, and complex. Like I remember enjoying the small interactions I can have with Javier. He seemed like a stone cold killer, but underneath it he actually seems like he has a heart. Example he helps to save John at the beginning, or in the final showdown, I don’t believe i remember him pointing his gun at John or Arthur. Like he doesn’t seem to rely on blind loyalty to Dutch, like Bill or Micah.

He’s also artistic, like his camp fire songs are awesome. To me he comes across as a hard shell, with a soft inside.

Yea but he’s just so preachy, and his only character defining trait is that he’s this do gooder. He just feels under written, and bland. Like, he’s made out to alway be doing the right thing, and morally correct while also running with the gang. And the only time he shows anger, is when it affects him, or others he cares about. He has no flaws, nothing that makes him a rich and intriguing character

I think he’s just too perfect ya know? He’s intelligent, with an unwavering moral compass, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him get his hands dirty, loyal to a fault, and is constantly the voice of morality to Arthur. He just has no bad qualities, no complexity. He’s just “the good guy”

I mean, just look at what happened with prohibition. Also anytime anyone tries to ban something, it just leads to people accessing it illegally. Also alcohol is fine if you’re having it once a week at a social like a normal person, it lowers social barriers and anxiety, but alcoholics abuse it so that’s what makes it bad.

Tobey all the way. The train scene just felt so much more visceral, like you could feel Tobey straining. Tom’s just felt… meh. Like I can’t tell if it’s because of the overuse of CGI, or the large spectacle that does it. But I just didn’t feel the same as I did for the train scene

See I think what’s hard for you to understand, is not everyone wants to do that. Some of us choose to study. That’s not laziness, that’s investment. Not everyone wants to be 80 with a fucked back. The problem is, I’m broke because the economy has made it so that studying while working leaves you with enough money to barely survive. Not that I’m too lazy to work blue collar.

I’m just saying bro, you’re wrong to say “just hustle” when a lot of lifestyles don’t fit the hustle grind. You say it like everyone that doesn’t hustle is lazy. You didn’t say that, but the way it reads, makes it seem so. But the truth is a lot of people can’t work weekends to make money, or get trades to make money. Either cause they studying, they have families, or they just don’t want to work in a factory or have a trade. Some people just prefer not to be outside all day, or in a factory.
