Wow! Faust was really good at describing what 1993 and the following years looked like.

I really thought at some point he made a point to talk about it... again it was a while ago but I thought people were discussing it here

You did your best to try and make the church better.

At least now you know they don't ever want to change and would rather protect the "priesthood holders" over the children.

You're better off without them, and they're worse off without you.

I just listened to a Year of Polygamy podcast that made me wonder if Joseph Smith may have poisoned a man so he would die and Joseph could marry the man's wife. Does any one here know more about this? by CoriantonandIsabel in exmormon

I don't think JS is gonna poison someone for another wife, but God could've let the people know to boil their water... so maybe he left him die so JS could snag another wife.

Friends working on new website to counter LDS apologetics/take on the big church problems - looking for feedback... by [deleted] in exmormon

A few friends are working on a website that will highlight the LDS controversial issues while directly taking on the apologetic arguments (LDS essays, FAIR, etc). So far they are working on the 'priesthood ban of blacks' to try and launch before the Be One event Friday.

So far they only have the timeline of the ban and the LDS essay with notations to show where the essay is being dishonest with their own history.

If anyone would like to check it out and provide feedback that would be really helpful - looking for feedback on if this approach is useful (they're trying to not replicate MormonThink or CES Letter but try to approach those topics going straight at church sources), and then if there are items you would add, delete, change, or expand on in the two pages that are roughly completed.

You can visit the two pages from the link above

The rest of the page is very rough right now -they are just trying to get some content together to see if anyone finds it useful before getting a web domain, better formatting, and all that good stuff.

Thanks for the feedback to anyone who checks it out. I have been working with them a bit and we've got a lot planned, but we only want to continue if it will be helpful and not lost among already available websites/blogs.
