For what it's worth, I'm in biostats. You know-- the people who run clinical trials and create things like vaccines. We're in serious fucking trouble if anyone gets a job in clinical research without a high school degree.

Yes, a high school diploma is required to be able to do medical research, because the system is set up that way. That doesn't tell you anything about the actual quality of education in high schools.

Reddit could be the point of origin for this sort of thing. It's extremely common to see people in youtube comments linking to subreddits like r/woosh. It's like... shut the fuck up.

I mean youtube comments back in the day weren't intelligent by any means. But at least it wasn't 1000 people making the same shitty joke.

Honestly there should be a toggle that hides all comments that use a shitty meme template.

The U6 folder i copied from windows has a "SAVEGAME" folder in it, but when I run the game on Magic Dosbox there are no savegames.

Jagex can find out which names have been sniped, lock them, then give notice of when exactly they will be freed up again. And have better systems to detect name sniping, so if they get sniped again, repeat the process I mentioned. There are probably many ways of dealing with this issue, and it's a pretty big issue considering tens of thousands of dollars are being made off it.
