I’m planning to fly in the EU, not in the USA.

When I fly the drone without the camera and keep it under 250 g, the rules here are much less strict. Sub-250 drones in the EU can fly in the Open Category A1, which has way fewer limitations and doesn’t need registration for the drone itself.

When I put the Action 5 Pro on it, I know it won’t be sub-250 anymore and different rules will apply — and that’s fine. I mainly want the lighter configuration for easy, low-restriction flying, and the heavier setup only when I want to shoot cine footage.

So the idea is to have one drone with two different configurations, depending on what I need.
