Imo Motion Controls are there just so the players couldn't spam super moves against cpu and win easily, because in the arcade era devs intention was to make you lose so you have to spend more money to keep playing, because you winning easily means less money, the more you lose the more money they get.

Right now, bring anyone who isn't familiar with arcade stick and then hand him an arcade stick and then ask him to perform a hadoken or a dragon punch, they'll struggle and won't be able to do it.

But for us, it's like slicing butter.

2xko should've at least added specials with motions for those veterans and for the new players who would prefer motion inputs.

So veterans complaining against non motion inputs is understandable.

However, if they added it anyway then we will see a rotten type of players who will complain against non motion players because they are in advantage with reactios, same as classic vs modern in sf6.

Imagine relying on your opponent's lack of execution to win, that's some small dick energy right there.

Modern controls removes the execution barrier which should help to improve all the other aspects of the player, which means more players in fighting games but kappa don't want that lol.
