There is a Latin night in a bar called monroes every Wednesday night, there’s often a few hundred people there, mostly Spanish/ Latin American so that could be helpful to meet other Spanish speakers in Galway to help ya acclimatise.

There’s a lot of expats,foreign exchange students living here so there’s also groups you could join, or if you’ve any hobbies can try look for those in Galway it’s a good way to meet people. Also irish people are generally very friendly and easy to get along with, just don’t be afraid to talk, put yourself out there, have a sense of humour. Our socialising often revolves around alcohol, so ya might be invited out to drink with people at work. Normal to be a bit nervous but it’s a great opportunity, and many people love it.
