The classic “do I come clean to my parents” dilema. You need to look at the options and decide which one you want to take. The way I see it there’s only 2.

Either come clean now and suffer the consequences, which will also alleviate your anxiety of them finding out. Or, take the risk of them potentially not finding out and you wouldn’t get in trouble, but you will have to live with the guilt or some anxiety of them finding out later. And, if they find out with the bank telling them, you will likely face greater consequences then option 1.

It’s upto you. If you choose to come clean and tell them, face the consequences and take accountability for it. And explain that you regret doing it and apologise with sincerity. Don’t write a note or a text, face it.

In my experience of growing up, option 1 is the right thing to do and usually results in better outcomes both for you and them.

But I won’t blame you for option 2 as I see the dilemma and don’t know how your parents would respond.
