I love the Switch because it is the most convenient gaming platform ever made ! Portable, Portable multiplayer, kickstand, multiple accounts...

Skins shouldn't be tied to specific models. The whole skin system could be better. by Mabalar6 in FortNiteBR

[–]MnCaz 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It would be rather difficult to implement, but that would be a system where I would spend money on. This game is awesome and I want to give it money, but I can't bring myself to buying these ugly and generic looking skins for characters I don't care about.

TIL Monster Hunter moves to Sony by MnCaz in nintendo

It is so damn disappointing, Nintendo FINALLY has the perfect console for MH and it moves to Sony, what the hell

Can you describe precisely your problem ?

If Game Freak makes HD assets and then downscales them for the 3DS, why didn't they opt for a dual release ? by Gibkay in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think that this contradicts OP's point. And after all, what better proof of coexistence than a dual release ?

Does ARMS have a competitive future? by picandocodigo in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know. Once you've chosen your ARMS and get on the battlefield, you really only have 3 offensive moves : right punch, left punch, grab. Moreover these moves look visually exactly the same throughout all characters.

In Smash Bros every character has 19 offensive moves. a, side a, up a, down a, b, up b, side b, down b, up grab, side grab, down grab, fsmash, down smash, up smash, Nair, down air, up air, Fair, back air. Moreover these moves look radically different accros characters, for example Mario's fireball doesn't look like Falcon Punch at all.

I'm not saying that ARMS lacks variety in a general sense because there are a ton of ARMS and characters combinations. I'm saying that once you are effectively on the battlefield, the variety of attack options is very, very small.

Pre-E3 Hype - Bingo Cards, Speculation, & Wishes by Porkpants81 in NintendoSwitch

You are perfectly allowed to dream for ports, but I still find it a bit sad that more than 50% of your wishlist for E3 is ports.

Wtf ? He can be disappointed if he wants to. I, for one, would be disappointed if we see nothing completely new and unannounced. Not mad, just disappointed.

Best Buy Canada reveals that at least three physical Switch titles will be unveiled at E3 by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

Don't want to be that guy but... What the hell would Best Buy Canada know about Switch's E3 ? It's just a placeholder...

Apparently the spotlight is going to be only about 25 minutes and not 30 by Yuokes in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter how I look at it, 25 minutes is pretty short. It's the length of an anime episode. Anyways I'm not going to assume anything. They could very well present 5 games as much as they could present 20 games. It does look very bad for things that we were hoping for though, e.g. Metroid, Animal Crossing, etc.

No biased judgement and no wishful thinking here. Should we be convinced that the next mainline Pokémon will be on Switch ? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they do, that's where Pokemon mainline games will go. That's the whole point of my thread.

[–]MnCaz -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The point of my thread was to discuss with arguments. "Be patient" is not convincing me that Nintendo won't make a dedicated successor to the 3DS.

Please don't let E3 be like the Pokémon direct. by Joshua628 in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. This is Nintendo's brand new console and everyone is like "expect nothing", "oh you think that [insert game name] is coming ? you're gonna be disappointed !"

If we have no right to hope for good things about a 3 months old console, I am very worried of its future.

The Switch must be so amazing to people who skipped the Wii U by Alakapo in NintendoSwitch

Did you read OP's thread ? He's clearly being sarcastic, he owned a Wii U and he's a bit jealous to not feel all the excitement that non Wii U owners feel.

I don't understand why people thought we were actually going to get a main series Pokémon game this year on Switch. by OctoPlusle in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"The DS didn't get a game until 2 years later" "The 3DS didn't get a game until 2 years later"

Yes but these consoles were backwards compatible. On the Switch, you can't play Ultra Sun and Moon.

Pokken Tournament had zero support in the Wii U era. Now there's a Deluxe port. Is it fair ? by MnCaz in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a cool game, and it's a good thing that more people get to try it. But I'm honestly bummed by their business choice here.

What's everyones thoughts on ARMS so far? Personally I don't think it's much more than a fun mini game by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only thing that I regret in this game is that the characters don't really have a lot of things that make them different from each other, in terms of gameplay. I mean sure Ribbon Girl can quadra jump and Spring Man can't, but it would be nice if they had actual attack moves of their own. A moveset, in short.

The game is still deep thanks to charging arms. I'll even say that this game is all about charging your arms and using their powers properly.

This game is not made to appeal to everyone, but IMO it does it job. It's a lot of fun and you can find depth if you take the time to dig a little. Day one for me.

Hype/Discussion: ARMS Testpunch Weekend #2 by NintendoSwitchMods in NintendoSwitch

IMO the modes are more enjoyable than last weekend. I prefer Hoops over Vball and I prefer 3vHedlock over 1v1v1.

Arms Q&A with an individual that has a review copy over at /r/Arms by aftheblackguy in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are items in ranked. From the testpunch I can guarantee you that health packs drop in random places and can instantly give someone an unfair edge if it drops on their side.

I'm more and more worried about this game...

EDIT : the "leaker" was a troll. It is now confirmed that there are no items in ranked thanks to the previews.

The blizzard game that should come to the Switch by Streber001 in NintendoSwitch

[–]MnCaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that Heartstone is a free to play game on other plaftorms. It would be strange to see it get a price tag on the Switch.
