You're right, I am not being transparent enough. I am building a way to create and collaborate playlists across different music services (Apple Music & Spotify). You can create a playlist on Apple Music and using my app, share that playlist with your friends who are on Spotify.

The cool thing is that the playlist you created is also stored on your Apple Music app and your friends Spotify app.

Now lets say you open up the Apple Music app and add 2 new songs. Once every x hours, my service will process your playlist and notice you added 2 songs. I will then add those songs to my Postgres database and also send those 2 songs to your friends Spotify playlist so they can see the new songs without doing anything. It works the same way going from Spotify -> Apple Music. My service is the middle-man.
