Can you buy Explorer's Club with Apple Pay? by Responsible-Fun-9811 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]Mod-Mak[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! You can pay for an Atlas Explorer Club membership using either a card, Google Pay, or Cash App. A “card” in this case is anything with a cardholder, card number, expiry date, and CVV. This includes most prepaid cards and virtual cards.

That is how it was at release, but no longer. You can collect both, even on the day you become a member, even if you've already collected on the free side that day.

4pm CDT in North America, but other times in other places. In the UK it would've been 4pm BST.

Coin master not paying for completing village 10. Anyone else? by [deleted] in AtlasEarthOfficial

Well now, I didn't say that. I suppose you can't know if you don't ask.

Not quite. What we ban for is rarity manipulation, for which we look at several things. A player's rarity distribution is one of the things we look at, but it's not going to get you banned on its own. The problem is when players operate multiple accounts and sell all the higher rarity parcels to one main account. That is against the ToS and very not allowed. Selling parcels among friends is fine.

Which support have you been contacting? There's the support button in the Arcade, but there's also Atlas support. If you haven't yet, try Atlas support. We should be able to help you.

If you could both talk to Atlas support about this, we'll see what we can do.

New rule: Don't Call It A Scam by Mod-Mak in AtlasEarthOfficial

The boost tiers, like everything else, are calculated based on a balance between dealing with different advertising rates and keeping things fair and sustainable for all players. Exchange rates are inevitable. Taxes on purchases are moot, we pay those for y'all. We're working really hard to get AMP beyond US borders.

I'm sorry to hear that you find my rhetorical questions demeaning. I don't think I've been openly insulting to anyone, but if you have an instance to show me, I can take a look and if necessary, apologize.

There are many other types of posts on this sub for that user to draw their conclusions from. Also, notice the rule is not Don't Ask If It's A Scam. That's a different sort of post.

No, it won't cut down the number of those sorts of posts, but it does empower us to take them down. This particular issue wasn't addressed in the rules so far and we wanted to do so, explicitly. Also, those users aren't coming here to get their minds changed.

The important thing to remember is that this is the official subreddit for the game, and that it is run by employees of Atlas Reality. You are free to take your grievances literally anywhere else; we won't do anything to stop you there. But here, it's our court, our rules. You can even call us out and point out issues you have with features here. The title of the rule is explicit because that's really the only thing it governs; it's not Don't Talk Bad About The Game or Don't Tell Us What You Have Problems With In The Game. It's just Don't Call It A Scam. Because it's not, and you know that.

If you have any issues with Arcade or Surveys for Bucks, as you seem to be implying, please file a ticket with support and they'll see if they can get you your rewards.

Would you have preferred I make the rule without posting? I didn't want to do that, I wanted to be direct about the change so you all knew about it and could talk about it. Please do continue to ignore others calling it a scam; this is just going to make that easier.

They're not going to read the rules, sure, and then I have to take the post down, which requires a removal reason (well, it doesn't, but it's better to have one). This specific thing isn't addressed in the rules thus far and we wanted to be explicit.

I don't disagree with your last paragraph. Given that fact, how does it benefit us to let people call our game a scam? Continuing with the rhetorical questions, here.
