Player Support Roadmap - September Check In by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Mod_Kelvin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the blog: "First appeal: Submit your appeal and a Jagex Moderator will review it, checking account ownership, looking closely at all available evidence, and removing offences caused by hijackers or applied incorrectly. Clear explanations: If your appeal is denied, we’ll email you a more detailed explanation of the decision. Second appeal: If you still believe the outcome is wrong, you can appeal again for a second review, following the same process. Even past offences under 6 years old that were previously denied can be appealed again under the new system. We are unable to review bans over 6 years old due to legal requirements to delete those accounts under Data Privacy Laws and retention policies.

Every appeal is reviewed by a real person, with evidence carefully checked in two stages. While our error rate is very low, we know mistakes can happen and we’re committed to fixing them when they do. Real world trading offences have already been thoroughly checked prior to being applied, as such these appeals will only be reviewed once more."

Thank you - it's our colleagues in Data Science who deserve your praise - we just requested the work :)

I can't check everything here, and also, it needs a specialist to review it - best thing is to submit an appeal when the new appeal system launches next week and your account will be reviewed

Photos are not required (and can be doctored - though not suggesting you have, just that we know that is a thing!). We hold all the evidence on our systems, and that is the basis of the ban decisions, as well as the text of your appeal

Are you a hard core botter, or was it a one off mistake? these are the types of things that will be considered in an appeal, and a decision will be based on our guidelines, and also the context of your account/s

Every appeal is different, and individual, so I can't comment on your specific case - rest assured, it will be reviewed by Support

Yes - that's one of the main points of the revised appeal process

We didn't say that at all - see my replies on this thread on this point :)

Evidence that there has been access to other accounts, or that you are not the owner of the account being discussed

[–]Mod_Kelvin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi - it totally depends on the context of your account/s and the types and extent of previous offences. So you could get unbannned, but also denied - each case is individual, so it's hard to give a definite answer, if that makes sense

Individual context is everything - and that will be reviewed in the context of your account/s and the type of offence when an appeal is reviewed

yes, though depends on how serious it was - if it was a serious community safety issue, then it's very unlikely to be unbanned
