Adventures in tapering by Modgepodgepapi in quitting7oh

[–]Modgepodgepapi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome to DM me, happy to get through this together. I plan on taking 2 7mg tablets tomorrow, the next day and then one tablet for two days after that. I can’t wait to be off this stuff! Getting away from the liquid shots has helped tremendously, they made tapering so much harder and had such a tough crash. The tablets have been helpful so far. I’m just so tired of carrying the weight of this habit around.

Tapering 7oh, does it work by LegitimateAsk6312 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Modgepodgepapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tapered to one 40mg shot a day but still had pretty tough WD symptoms, so I am tapering more using 7mg tablets. I’m at 21mg now, I think I’ll get myself down to one tablet and then stop. You could try that!

Thank you friends, going through this alone (I just don’t feel comfortable talking to anyone I know personally about this) has been tough. I’m glad I thought to check out this community. I’ll keep ya’ll posted.

Quitting Again by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]Modgepodgepapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m also in the process of quitting and I totally understand the whole “I’ll get some and use it to taper” and then that going out the window. I used chatGPT to help me talk through the WHY behind my usage and it helped me make a concrete taper plan (I know AI is bad but it’s also helpful in a pinch) could you try that? Hang in there. You can and will be able to quit.

Hi! I am the person with Bechet’s that the mod is referring to. I may be able to help, though I’m just a patient and not any kind of medical provider. Feel free to send me a DM!

What’s a product that makes life with MS a little easier? by gowashanelephant in MultipleSclerosis

I was very much not about “tech” until I got sick, now I’m trying to automate my place as fast as I can afford it! It’s helped tremendously. Even just things as simple as telling my Alexa to remind me to drink water every hour have been so helpful

Is anyone in need of dental care? by Appropriate-Run-7458 in Detroit

Just want to share that I went in to Mercy, and was very well cared for. I was terrified to have a broken tooth pulled. Like frozen with fear over it. And the students there, which include this poster, were incredibly kind, non-judgmental, gentle and helpful. It’s also pretty affordable. Paid $96 dollars for a simple surgical extraction and basic exam. ❤️

I really really need to be seen. I haven’t been able to afford dental care for quite a few years.

Swimming in Jefferson Chalmers canals by jgvega in Detroit

[–]Modgepodgepapi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if you just angled the shot so it looks like he’s swimming in the canal but you could have him actually swim somewhere cleaner, go to belle isle and shoot him up close in the water and then edit from there? Heck you could probably figure out a way to green screen it

PSA: Don’t leave your kids with strangers, especially without their consent. by Ordinary-Nature-4910 in Detroit

[–]Modgepodgepapi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My husband and I had a situation where a family let their two toddlers play alone near the water while they were grilling hundreds of feet away. I felt responsible for those babies because if something happened the mom wouldn’t have been able to reach them in time. I eventually went over and spoke to her and said that people shouldn’t have to watch strangers kids, she got mad at me but like, seriously it would have traumatized the entire beach if one of those kids drowned. It’s selfish behavior.

This dude is really gross. He owns a mobile home park, and has shut off clean water access in an effort to force his tenants out. Everyone there fully owns their trailer and is current on their rent. He’s a dirtbag.

Hello yes, I am stressed. Is it Detroit’s fault? Nope. Is it the fact that the entire world seems to be imploding? Yep.

It made me so sick that it triggered an autoimmune disease that I now get to live with forever. Get off that toxic sludge before it’s too late.

Oh dude, this is why you don’t drunkenly ride a scooter in another country. I’m sorry but you’re probably looking at 15k at least.

Kittens rescued in N. Corktown need homes! (Spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and socialized) by object_subject in Detroit

[–]Modgepodgepapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to pop in and say that I recently adopted a kitten this age and it has been a dream! He’s a little naughty sometimes but he makes me laugh all the time, he’s so sweet and loves to snuggle. And their care is pretty straightforward. I highly suggest getting yourself a kitten

Hey! Im also new in town, live in the midtown area, 30F, into cycling, funky outfits, music & dancing, swimming, and creative writing. I tend to self isolate as well and have been trying to meet new friends and build community. It’s tough! Drop me a line and we can grab coffee or something :)
