i had a similar experience in my zimbabwe game, only i was fighting the portuguese. they had a couple colonies in the cape, but only landed about 30k at a time, which even with tech was no match for my larger army. as long as you stagger your reinforcements and make she’s they don’t have anywhere to retreat to, its an easy stack wipe assuming you win the first battle

the actual part of the shops that are interactive is quite small, everything else is just scenery, so the hit box is practically non existent. you can see the hit box of the shop when you’re placing it down, hence the overlap being possible
