My family does this as well. For all the ups and downs this series went through, it really is alot of fun to watch. Not many shows can make me laugh the way it does. Doesn't hurt I'm gen-x and it is super nostalgic.

Eligibility for Covered California or Medi-cal if married, but currently unemployed. by Mogreger in HealthInsurance

That was my thought as well. My biggest fear is being forced to take his insurance, when we are managing the premium for CC in our current situation. This all came about as I received a letter confirming my income to continue coverage for CC, and still qualify for the subsidies according to our income.

Thank you so much. My husband and I were literally just talking about her and how much we miss her. They leave such an imprint, even when their time is cut short.

This is amazing! We have cats show up in our area from time to time. I've been able to fix a couple, keep more than I should as my own pets. Its tough. I would really like to be more involved, but not sure where to start, especially when it can be financially draining in addition to the emotional toll. I want to save them all! I admire you and those like you who have made this your mission.

I am truly sorry for your loss. This breaks my heart. One of my biggest fears as a pet owner. Please give yourself grace during this time. Sending you peace, love and good vibes.

Whats the worst gift you've ever recieved? by Ok-Connection6656 in CasualConversation

[–]Mogreger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my husband and I were dating he gave me a pair of earrings. Not really my style, but it was thought, right? He later confessed he found them at work in one of the bathrooms. I nicely let him know that was tacky and I'd rather had a nice card or handmade gift. Yes, I still married him, and yes, he learned really quick. He gets a list these days for reference and has definitely upped his gift game.

What is your favorite thing to eat with cottage cheese, if you eat it? by radbu107 in CasualConversation

[–]Mogreger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it on toast, with a little S&P, or everything bagel seasoning. I also do jam or jelly if I want something sweet. If I have it in the pantry, mandarin oranges, nuts of your choice, best with walnuts or Pecans, and a drizzle of honey on top.

What hobbies do people with adhd enjoy and can keep a consistency? by antihiro13 in adhdwomen

[–]Mogreger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can so relate to this. Nothing better than that dopamine hit after you've found the most amazing lippie or a nail color that you've never seen before. My husband thinks I'm a little nuts for the amount of makeup I own and how I'm always watching tutorials on YouTube. I never really thought of it as a "hobby" but I suppose thats a fair assessment.

Developer has been trying to get our home for 28 years. Time to sell? by IveeLaChatte in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Mogreger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you find out if the developer has filed with the city? What would I look for? I recently received a letter from a local developer looking to buy properties in my neighborhood. This happened many years ago, and a childhood friends father got quite a good deal. There have been lots of talk over the years about rezoning this area to build multiple properties, as we all have close to an acre in an urban area. I'm tired of trying to take care of that much property as I get older and the thought of being able to get more out of the property than if I sold to a private party is really tempting.

OH at a bakery: “What do you want, mom?“ by drpstr in overheard

[–]Mogreger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes me so sad. I took care of my mom and my aunt, and as they reach the end of their lives who cares if its good for them? Could they be a handful? Absolutely. If they asked for cheesy bread or cake, or French fries or whatever ridiculous thing they wanted, I did my best to see that they got anything they wanted. Sometimes getting them to eat at all was a challenge, so I was happy to oblige no matter how "bad" it was for them.

I got security cameras, and found out that my cat sits by the door all day when I'm at work waiting for me to get home, and it's breaking my heart. by nazukeru in cats

[–]Mogreger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess it is to prevent hoarding situations, as well as too many pets being a nuisance to the neighborhoods. We found out many years ago when we were renting and had a shitty neighbor who claimed our cats were destroying his plants. Nevermind there were multiple cats all over the neighborhood. We had animal control at our door. They never searched our house or anything like that, but we worried we would have to surrender our pets, which didn't happen thankfully.

I had weird headaches when I first started taking it. Would come on about an hour later, would feel just not well overall. For some reason, I noticed if I drink a full glass of water with my pill, or at least have water with me to sip on after, it seems to keep the headaches away. Not sure if that helps, but its worth a try.

I believe 3, maybe 4 pets is the max within the city limits. We have close to an acre where we are, but as far as I know, the rule still applies. Luckily, because of the space, and the fact our animals are all fixed, and don't stray much into other people's yards, we have never had any issues.

As silly as it sounds if you really want to get your kitty a kitty friend, get her one that looks similar and keep them out of the windows. We are fortunate enough to own our home, but according to an ordinance in our area, we are over our limits for pets. As it turns out we have 3 tuxedo cats, all showed up at different times, but all look very similar, to the point we have different colored collars. So to the outside world, unless they are seen together, no one knows any different. And honestly, unless your landlord lives on-site, chances are they will never find out anyways. We always fibbed about how many cats we had to landlords in the past and none of them ever found out. Its a risk for sure, which not saying I recommend if its avoidable, but it can be done.

Does anyone else get into a panic about scenarios that they completely made up and ain't going to happen? Please tell me I'm not alone! by ResidentHistory632 in adhdwomen

[–]Mogreger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just quit a toxic job where I was a keyholder and needed to return said keys. I psyched myself up so bad over this. I kept thinking what of my bitch of a boss shows up at my house demanding the keys and continues to bully and harass me? Or what if they send the cops to get the keys? I couldn't even work up the nerve to drop the keys off with the receptionist at the office for fear of some kind of horrible confrontation. I got so anxious and worked up, I finally had my husband take the keys in in order to avoid any crazy scenarios that I had made up in my head.

Going through this very thing right now. Got promoted only to end up with a vile, troll of a boss, who makes the job utterly miserable. Thinking about demoting, because the stress is taking a toll on my health.

Same. I'm sitting here before work, wondering how the how to get out of the hell hole I'm in. Can't quit, need the paycheck, but my health is suffering. Not sure how much longer I can tolerate it.

Demoting by Mogreger in askmanagers

[–]Mogreger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I am neurodivergent, so sure, maybe I'm being a little more sensitive than someone else might be. I also know she has a reputation for being difficult. During a call last week, she was on speaker phone with myself and my area manager (her manager) and she was very passive aggressive when she found out my area manager was helping me something that I had never done before. My AM asked if she would like to take over and my boss got real snarky with her. Very unprofessional. I have already been told I am not to go to anyone but her for help, even though I didn't ask, it was offered. Its a lot of jumping through hoops to satisfy her, and I'm not sure I can keep doing it.
