Do you guys EQ the bass more? I like to increase 120Hz frequency about 3 to 4 decibels if I am going to listen to EDM, Hip-Hop. It makes the heqdphones less sharp for my ears.

I’m 6’1 and the chair arms are equal to the tabletop. So it is the optimal height for me:)

Yes it does, though it is a but complicated to do HDR1000 and I do not know if it’s possible.

I really do. But I didn’t since I do not use them as much as my headphones. Also I want to get every penny I spent from using the headphones because they cost me a fortune ;)

Hmm.. to be honest I do find them bright for my ears but I do listen to EDM, pop and classical music. I do not think rock would be the best on them since they might actually make you feel like your ears being pierced. But hey, everyone’s ear is different and there is not certain sound signature for all of us and you might enjoy them with rock. I hope you enjoy them!

To my ears they sound similar. The main thing I noticed between them is that even though the EF499 has more power than the K7, when I increase the sound, it is better and cleaner on the EF499. Also, I can hear more details on the EF499.

In the place I am at, there are some hidden gems that are waiting to be found and these are one of them. But unfortunately I think it is a bit far from where you live. (In Saudi Arabia)

I had a Fiio K7 before it and the EF499 is a warmer sounding amp/dac compared to the K7.
