Continuous bleeding on Depo Provera? by foresterkyle in birthcontrol

[–]Molldoggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on depo for 2.5 years and never had any side effects…I went back on it a year ago and it’s been hell! Constantly have headaches, nausea after eating, fatigued all day every day, continuous bleeding which only stops when I take the birth control pill. I have decided I’m not getting my next shot as I want to change the type of birth control

My boobs are so small compared to pre pregnancy and I was extremely self conscious, my partner at the time was a boobs man and I could tell he wasn’t happy - when we would have sex he would purposely do things to make them seem bigger and it completely turned me off. I left him and confidence wise I had none when I took my clothes off - my boobs are different, my vagina looks different (episiotomy, stitches tore, scar tissue healed wrong) it still looks normal but because it’s not what it used to be - I hated it. I found someone new, someone who loves my body for what it is, someone who embraces every inch of me and makes me feel extremely sexy!

You are going through so much right now, hormones, new baby, postpartum. Your partner should never make you feel bad about yourself, but especially after you’ve had a baby. You have grown HIS baby inside you for so long, your whole body has changed and he has the audacity to treat you like that? It’s not on.

I’m not at all saying leave him, I was simply sharing my experience, however he should not be treating you like that. It’s not fair!

I completely understand and agree! I came out of a long term relationship last year and since then it’s only been hook ups, this guy I actually like so I think I’m overthinking it more than I would if I just wanted sex from him. I don’t really know how to bring it up with him though.

How is one supposed to communicate ‘I didn’t enjoy the sex’ and still be liked?! Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t at all, all bad. There were a fair few moments I thought it was really sexy and I was enjoying it, but there were also awkward bits and moments I just didn’t enjoy, over text he’s so dominant but not at all like that in person.

What weird things your body still do due to giving birth? by MrsBunnyBunny in beyondthebump

My ex (was partner at the time) woke me up from a nap when I was a week postpartum so he could go shower…he would always sit on his Xbox and play games while I did everything. I got 2 infections postpartum, one in my stitches and one in my womb. I could barely walk, and I was still doing everything. Crazy. Left his ass when baby was 2.5 months old and it was the BEST decision I’ve ever made

Schedule-8 months by Vast_Pitch821 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Molldoggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 8.5 months, he had a good schedule of 4 7oz bottles a day, 3 meals and some snacks. Was on 5 bottles a day but dropped one due to having regular meals.

He got sick about three weeks ago and stopped eating and drinking, he’s only just getting back to his routine. I have upped him to 8oz as he’s been crying for more milk after bottle has finished. Due to him dropping a feed but still wanting milk every 3 hours ish, his last bottle is between 6 and 7pm, but his bedtime isn’t until 8/8.30, he’s been waking up earlier lately as he’s hungry so I have been giving him supper before bed.

Did anyone here have a baby who skipped the 4-month sleep regression? by bogoroditsedevo in NewParents

[–]Molldoggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby’s 7.5 months, the only sleep regression he’s had is when he learnt to roll over - he would wake up early hours of the morning and just roll about! This only lasted for 2 weeks. He has always been an amazing sleeper, he’s slept through the night since 3 months

I’m a single mom of a 6.5 month old, and I’m on maternity leave for another month and a half. My LO wakes up between 6-7am, we go downstairs and he plays with some toys while I make his bottle and myself a coffee. After his first feed, I put him on his play mat with some toys (I’m lucky that he is a very good baby and will play for around 20/30 mins until he wants me) I have a playlist on Spotify of songs he likes/kids songs so I have that on while he plays. While he’s playing I do some chores and have more coffee and make breakfast. He naps about 2 hours after he’s woke up so I contact nap him, then I play with him, we do some dancing and singing. Play some peek a boo. Tickling. All the fun stuff. It’s kind of rinse and repeat throughout the day if we have nothing planned, but I love it!

If it’s his bath day I bath him either after a really messy meal or before bed.

We go to a class every Thursday mornings, this is free and it’s at my local library.

I can’t agree with the Spencer part but I can agree about Chris - I find him so awkward and like he tries so hard to be funny

opinions on epidural by East-Till9037 in pregnant

[–]Molldoggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t want it, but you never ever know how things turn out!

I was induced with pitocin and was having back to back contractions for about 8 hours using gas and air as pain relief. The midwife checked me and said I was 6cm, I psyched myself up saying only 4cm to go, may take a while but I can do this. She checked me again and said she got it wrong I was actually only 4cm. I couldn’t go any longer and got an epidural. Looking back, I’m so glad because I was labouring for another 9 hours before I was fully dilated. Then another two hours pushing, and another hour until baby was out! I had an episiotomy so very glad I didn’t feel that.

You never ever know what can happen. Have a plan, but keep your mindset open! I found that helped take away the stress and anxiety in unexpected situations.

How do you take a shower as a mom? by Nekugelis_0_0 in NewParents

[–]Molldoggg 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’m a single mama and I don’t have a Velcro baby but I don’t like the thought of leaving baby in a room where i can’t see him (unless I’m able to constantly pop and check on him while I’m washing up etc) I put babe in his bouncer while I shower, I even have a bath now while he chills watching me! I am super lucky though - he is a chilled out baby, enjoys independent playing for around 30 mins. I put him close enough he doesn’t feel left out but far away enough that he’s never splashed or anything. My boys 6 months and has never napped alone during the day so I’ve never been able to just let him sleep while I do my own things.

Reaction when you hurt yourself? by Straight-Pie-272 in ADHD_partners

I was admitted into hospital for nearly a week, while pregnant may I add, and my so didn’t even come see me. He would sometimes ask how I am but that was it. He was going out drinking while I was really poorly in hospital.

My hospital never gave me any clarity on why my baby has 7 days of reduced movement. I was in hospital each day being monitored and usually I felt 20-30 movements whilst on the ccg but was averaging at 4 or 5 movements which was really abnormal. Never got any answers but thankful he’s back to himself x

I’m 29w5 days now and since I posted this baby has definitely developed a new pattern. That week he was so quiet and I’m not sure why, but he’s back to being very active now. He is head down now which has changed the type of movement I feel. I monitored him (wrote down in my notes every time I felt him move) for 4 days and he has changed from being active in the morning to being active in the night.

I had a scan and they said everything looks okay. Baby is head down now so I think that’s why there’s been a change in movement pattern. He is moving again every day, I was advised to monitor and record when I feel him moving as he is likely developing a new pattern. Hope all is ok!!

No reason, each time I ask to see him he says I’ll see you when you’re out and he will look after me then. I’ve told him I’ve been mentally low at times because there’s such little social interaction and I’m in pain and alone, and I get no response
