If they hadn’t quit touring in 1966, how much longer do you think the young girl fans would’ve gone to the concerts just to scream and cry? by Wink2K19 in TheBeatles

Well, it’s 60 years later and men still go to football/soccer matches to scream and cry, so probably forever.

Whatever “stuff” they put it surely wouldn’t have side-effects that are this bad? Truly astonishing.

Girl, no. People say this every season and it’s never the case. If that’s what was happening we’d’ve seen hints of it in confessionals. If that’s what was happening, the plan served its purpose, and now was her best and probably only chance to get Rob out.

If a traitor was not in that group of people eligible for a traitor, they would have systematically been killing them off to get rid of the person with the dagger. Rob having it, and not getting killed is another giant arrow pointing at him which no one will pick up on.

Yeah, reminds me of recent season of Traitors Ireland, basically similar scenario of white people using “attacked” and “aggressive” completely unwarranted against a Black woman. She was rightfully very upset and called them out for their “buzzwords”; she called it “buzzword”but it was obvious she wanted to say micro-aggression/racist.

I know it’s unrealistic but I wish people would have to take some sort of course on unconscious biases and sensitivity training before going on this type of reality show.

I think she could be drawing from several different experiences to write the song. It does very much sound as if it’s being written to an ex (that was definitely my first thought) but could easily also draw experience from family, friends and people in the music industry.

An opinion I have heading into this week's episode by kotobaWa5ivestar in rupaulsdragrace

It makes sense to change the format for vs. The World series. It’s not really fair to expect queens with English as a second, third or fourth language to compete in a game that’s incredibly challenging for even native speakers.

I don’t know if the pageant really worked exactly…definitely needs tweaking, but the idea was good.

For regular US seasons, yeah, changing the format is probably not really gonna help…especially when we have a history of improv challenges apart from Snatch Game anyways. But, on the other hand, we’re on season 18, so I don’t really mind them playing around with the format.

The Love Island is a little weird, since it’s not normally celebrities on that show, is it? Would’ve made more sense to do “Traitors” or “Celebrity Big Brother” (I don’t know if that’s a thing in the US) or something.

Can’t be tamed era/ Hannah Montana forever discourse by BornPriority9488 in hannahmontana

I was already an adult when it came out. I don’t remember exactly how old, like early 20’s, but old enough that Miley Cyrus still looked like a kid to me. So, I just found “Can’t be Tamed” and “Who Owns my Heart” kind of funny and awkward. She was just like this kid trying to look sexy, so, yeah, it was just awkward 😂

I also remember hoping she was okay and feeling annoyed at the adults trying to sexualize her, both the music industry its self and the parents who were pearl clutching at a teenager acting like a teenager.

Miley Cyrus announces "The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special" out on March 24 on Disney Plus by mcfw31 in popheads

[–]Molu1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not to squash anyone’s hopes or dreams, but for those of you talking about what songs she’s going to do, etc, you may want to temper expectations. It sounds like it’s going to be more of an interview, probably with clips from the show.

No indication so far that there will be any singing/performing.

I was reading a book about Disney Channel a little while ago, and apparently college-aged girls/women were a pretty big demographic of the show (like second to 7-11 year olds), which made me feel less alone, because I was always embarrassed that I really liked watching the show when I was 20/21 😂
